1999 Honda Foreman S 4x4 ATV Mechanics Special Vehicle Description Up for a no reserve auction is a 1999 Honda Foreman S 4x4. I am a Honda / Yamaha dealer in central Wisconsin, and we did sell this machine new to a local customer and he recently traded for a newer ATV. This Foreman uses a 450 cc four stroke engine with a five speed foot shift transmission. It shows 3,500 miles and 950 hours. It does have a 27" ITP Blackwater Big Wheel kit on, and the tires are in pretty good condition yet. The ATV is in average condition with the standard scuffs and scratches in the plastic. There I am selling this ATV as a mechanics special because the engine does make a loud clattering sound when running. The electric start does not work either, so we have been using the recoil start. There may be other issues as well but these are the major ones that I noticed. Don’t expect to buy this ATV to ride without doing some mechanical work first. This ATV should be bought by some one who can repair the engine themselves. If you expect to take it in to a dealer to have repaired you may get a repair bill for more than the machine is worth.
