Use buy it now price & I'll pay for 1/2 shipping costs-(continental USA) BR>Rare collectors car for sale - strangers drive buy & give me a thumbs up (& cops tend to give me a ticket when ever I wash & wax it.) 1976's were galvanized dipped-earler ones were not. This one doesn't have black paint masking repairs or rust underneath. Its been in Arizona & Ca its entire life. Motor last rebuild 1/2001 216K has webb hydraulic cam, lifters , pushrods (no valve adjustments necessary). Case has modified oil gallery for plugs (allen head pipe threaded screws VS factory glued & staked plugs that fail - instant 0 oil pressure). Car currently has 329k freeway miles on it plus 70 more /day as its my daily driver up & down interstate 5. Still running factory bosh injection. Thermal reactors are currently on the car. Have bypass pipes & another air flow sensor to go with the car (included). 5/2008 had to get a different air flow sensor rebuilt for smog (this one is currently on the car - seems to run quicker with the other one though). Have 1" stack of receipts - will list parts since last rebuild. 7/2003 clutch job, new fly wheel, shift rod bushing 1/2006 alternator 5/2006 regulator 2-4/2006 brakes rebuilt - all calipers, master, new hoses, new front pads, vavloine semi syn brake fluid (less hydroscopic) - will need rotors next time, packed bearings with mobile syn grease. Bought & installed 4 cv boot kits (new boots & grease) plus replaced 1 cv joint (rest were fine). 6/2007 left door widow regulator repair. 10/2007 292536 miles clutch job pelicanparts.com part# 901-116-014-00-m38 911 clutch disk in it -6springs vs 4 -much better disk at more than twice the price of the factory 4 spring disk 7/2008 303739 miles turn signal/high beam harness - the one that goes thru the steering wheel - replaced with new. 9/2008 new rear pads 11/2009 323618 new valve cover gaskets. VW type 4 motors are very maintenance free. Change the oil every 3K, plugs 15k & clean the K&N air filter - fuel filter 20-30K. Hydraulic lifters - no valve adjustments. Petronix Ignition - set it once & your done. Just installed wires, cap, rotor, & plugs about 2 months ago. Motor has a few miles on it. Plan on going thru it in a year or so if you drive as much as I do. Compression on right bank is 140PSI left bank is 122 PSI. Current motor probably will not pass So Calif smog as reflected in the low starting price. Type 4 motors are inexpensive to build ($1750 long block below). Car - I looked for three years before I bought this one. Have had it since 1988. Originally from Arizona. This was the cleanest 912E out of all I looked at. On 10/2003 I pulled the front & rear glass & had the car painted. New head liner - than new rubber & glass reinstalled. Reupholstered front seats & put new carpet over rear seats. Installed coverlay dash cover. Installed new rear reflector & two later model Porsche rear view mirrors. (Yes I put the $12.00 back up plate inside the door for mirror support.) 12/05 Replaced rear window tint. Rant over - will cooperate with shippers.
