Vehicle Detail
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to consider the little car I have for sale. This is a convertible that I have owned for about a year and a half. I just had it Pa. inspected so it is good through March 2011.It is very easy on gas.I checked it last week on a 350 mile trip and it got a little over 42 Mpg.The clutch was replaced about 800 mile ago.It shifts through all gears fine. When down shifting sometimes you need to come to a complete stop to enter first gear to start out again. The only advantage to this is it may keep a person from getting a ticket for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign.It does not have air conditioning. The top is new.All door handles work good.Windows both go up and down all the way, without pulling and jerking on them. The reason I mention this is because some of these Metros have had that problem. The A-arm surports are very solid,I tried to get pictures. It has a pioneer stereo that sounds ok,only has 2 speakers.Cigarette lighter works,I use my gps in it(it does not go with the car)Tires are in good shape(80%tread left)One of the wheels may need balanced.Today I noticed it at a slow speed a little shake or something.Doesn't leak any fluids.Doesn't smoke, and I just changed oil and filter.Heat works.brakes work good. There is a hole in the carpet under the drivers side mat.I'm selling this car because I have another one I am going to run when this one sells. The exhaust is sound.I did notice the horn quit, and I removed the steering wheel air bag to get to the horn conection, and now the air bag light is on in the dash.I heard you can take it to autozone to get the light off,or similar place.I still didn't get the horn working. It's been repainted, not a excellent job by any means.Suits me.The back hatch goes up a little stiff, but it stays up.There is a spare and jack. There are some nicks and small dents and other imperfections to the outside. The interior is pretty good for a car this old.Having said all this, let me be honest, and say these cars though cute are a little cheap made, and are not for everyone. They only weigh a little over a ton,and a healthy man can hold the little 3 cyl. motor in his arms. But I like them simply for the gas mileage.I do not have the money for a hybrid and will have to settle for a car without all the luxury but still gets super gas milage.Call with any questions ( 814-746-1263)I do reserve the right to end the auction early due to local sale. There is a reserve that just covers the new things without any time considered as far as labor is concerned so let the bidding begin. Thanks again, Marty One more thing If you do not have considerable possitive feedback call before bidding. Forgot to mention that the right back tailight was broke and taped over.see pictures. If I remember any thing else I will add it.Remember to call with any questions.814-746-1263 The pictures were taken a month ago or more while there was a little snow left.Things have now changed, and I cut grass on Wensday.Spring has come at last....Hot dog!!
