Vehicle Detail

Original Hugger Orange 1969 Camaro, X11 original paint survivor car. Sold new in 1969 at "Capitol Chevrolet" in Austin Texas (still has badge on rear panel), always a southern car. Original Hugger Orange (code 72) paint color, White vinyl top, White standard interior. 350 motor (not original), 4 speed muncie transmission #660, Factory A/C, 10 bolt rear, manual brakes and steering. Vintage American Torq-Thrust wheels It appears the car has had front sheet metal damage. Someone replaced the front header panel and is rough (it's the wrong color and actually looks like someone used this from a rusty car, see pic). The lower valence panel is straight and rust free. The front passenger side fender has paint coming off revealing some body filler used to fill a dent above the wheel opening after fender bender. The drivers side fender shows damage on the front. Also someone tried to fill this dent as well. I would honestly say both front fenders need replacing due to damage. Both original front fender extensions are not damaged and rust free. The car runs and drives (clutch slips but is movable). Motor runs but smokes when you start it, probably needs valve seals. All lights work and the door buzzer still works. Cowl tag reads: ------------------- ST69 12437 NOR332478 BDY TR 727 72 E PNT 05C X11 ------------------- All vin numbers match and I have the clear title. The re-paint process was started so the vinyl top was removed, the passenger side door has been sanded and primed. Part of the passenger side quarter panel has also been sanded and primed as shown in the photos. The cowl panel has been stripped and primered also. Photos also included show the car before the sanding and stripping of the vinyl top. Keep in mind, this is an original sheet metal car! No aftermarket parts, no replacement panels EVER!. No previous welded patches anywhere on car! At least you can actually see what you are looking at, instead of a bunch of hidden damage or rust rot. This Camaro still has its original wheel well opening trim as a testiment as to how original and rust free the body is. The car does need a complete interior kit to replace the sun beaten original. I have all of the original interior parts that have been removed. The windshield has been thrown out because it had a crack. There are some areas typical to 69 Camaro's and prone to rust, it's part of the price the car payed frequenting an ocean beach. Listed below are the ONLY spots of rust on the car. 1. Dash panel lower seam. 2. Trunk seal channel spots. 3. Trunk lid corner spots. 4. Windshield seal channel spots. 5. Back window corners and channel spots. 6. Lower front fenders, dime sized spots. Email or call for all pictures and video of engine running. Also see my other items I have for sale. Buyer is required to pay a non-refundable amount of $500 24 hours from the end of the auction. Full payment must be made within 3 days of the end of the auction. Car cannot be picked up until all money clears. I reserve the right to end the auction early as I have this car for sale locally.
