Vehicle Detail

Clean, Two Owner, Carefully Maintained, Adult-Driven, Tastefully Modified Dodge Stealth R/T. Stored Winters. Second generation Stealths / 3000GTs in this condition are getting very, very difficult to find. Here's a two-owner, religiously-maintained, tastefully-modified model for your consideration! Please read and consider entire description carefully before bidding! I bought the car at 138k in bone-stock, well-kept shape from its original owner. I modified it as follows: BodyComplete repaint to GM8767 gloss metallic black (poly + clear). It's a deep deep deep black with very subtle purple, blue, green metallic flakes. Original color for the Buick GNX. Car was originally black, so the door jambs / hood valences, etc. match.Complete front clip conversion to '99 3000GT. Includes factory bumper and complete underfascia. Professionally done.Headlight lens clean / re-seal and "Robo-mod" removal of boring flat-black plastic interior covers.8500k HID (Bright white / slight blue) headlightsTastefully Tinted sides, 3/4, rear: dark enough to highlight the black bodywork, not dark enough to arouse the law Engine / PerformanceDNP stainless intake hard pipeMatrix open-element filter / 3sx stainless mountMaximal Performance solid engine mountsHigh-Flow front-to-back bank fuel injector loop ExhaustComplete Stainless Steel system from headers to tail! Sounds FANTASTIC!DNP performance downpipe3sx Stainless straight pipe (no catalytic converter)Borla Stainless 2.5"high flow, twin-resonator catback Chassis / SuspensionSSR D5R 19x9 Semi-Solid Forged two-piece wheels @ +24mm offsetGeneral Exclaim UHP 245 / 35 R 19 tires with 3/4 or more treadwear remainingKYB GR-2 struts / shocks at all four corners with new Mitsubishi pillow ball mounts at frontMaximal Performance strut cross-braces at front and rearPower Steering Delete (lines / pump still in place, but pump drive belt removed and fluid drained).Stainless Steel braided brake hosesZinc-plated slotted / cross-drilled brake rotorsNew Brake Pads @ 160kNew Front Ball Joints Chassis / ElectricalOdyssey 680 absorbed glass mat lightweight / sealed battery, relocated to rear shelf with 0/1 gauge wireStinger safety breaker at battery / Stinger gold distribution block underhood. (Breaker very useful not only for safety, but also for theft prevention and battery maintenance if car isn't regularly driven.)Bosch high amperage alternator InteriorCorbeau FX1 PRO bucket racing seats with Corbeau red harness belts. (Auction includes original front seats, both in fine condition.)Complete Eclipse sound system--Eclipse 3100 tilt / vacuum fluorescent headunit, Eclipse 5" 2-ways in doors, Eclipse 6x9 3-ways at rear.Bell Performance Accelerometer / G-telemetry data monitor / collection. (Ever wonder how many Gs your last turn pulled? Interested in accurate 0-60 runs?)Custom brushed stainless steel door / speaker / shifter trimNew leather e.brake boot / carbon fiber trim handles for brake and shifterRear Seat removal / professional refinish of interior metal with Duplicolor dark-grey textured spray The combination of racing seats / harnesses, the on-center feel of manual steering, the deep rumble of the high-flow exhaust, and the solid engine mounts make this car feel SERIOUS. Let's face it: the non-turbo Stealth / 3000GTs were never the blitzing supercars of their awd / twin-turbo counterparts. But this one sure sounds, looks, and FEELS as serious as they come. If you like the unrefined mechanical feel of a truly high-performance ride, you will LOVE this car. It gets looks and complements everywhere, especially as Stealths become more and more rare. Hey, it's a killer daily driver for any sports car enthusiast! Vehicle was stored winters in an underground, climate-controlled garage. Meticulous care taken for proper storage (fuel stabilizer, lubrication, etc.). Vehicle has been religiously maintained per OEM recommendations. All service records and receipts kept! All oil changes done with Mobil-1 full synthetic every 3k without exception! 60k timing belt / tensioner / etc. services on time, with the next approaching interval (180k) already completed a little early. (These services cost ~ $1000--knowing they're done is essential information in buying a used Steatlh / 3000GT.) Transmission fluid / filter changes on time. Coolant flush-and-fills on time. Fuel Filter changes on time. Spark Plug change / wire changes on time. Previous 60k service interval included, per OEM recommendation, new oil pump and water pump. Engine's oil pressure is exceptional. Interior and exterior detailed regularly--vehicle is exceptionally clean for its age. So, what's not perfect? Issues typical to Stealth / 3000GTs of this age / mileage:Wearing valve stem seals. This results in the engine burning ~ 1 - 1.5 quarts of oil between changes and some exhaust smoke on launch or reverse if the car idles for an extended period of time (e.g. in a bad traffic jam). Car had this problem when I bought it at 138k, and it hasn't gotten worse (i.e. engine oil consumption didn't grow, etc.), so I didn't touch it. If you don't mind a little oil use and occasional exhaust smoke, you probably won't have to deal with it, either.Lifter tick on start if the car isn't driven frequently. I'm told that replacing the stock lifters with those from the '99 6G72 engines can solve this, but again, it hasn't worsened over the life of the car, so I didn't touch it.Air conditioning has never worked. I never looked into it--maybe it just needs a recharge?A few knicks and dings--one small spider-crack on rear bumper, some tarnishing beginning on chrome wheel lips, etc. (See pictures.)The interior rattles and hums you'd associate with a car that has solid engine mounts and much of its interior sound insulation removed. No sunroof. (Not sure why e.bay's automated info suggests, above, that it should have one.) Summary? I love this car, and I'm only selling it to start another project. If you're interested in a tastefully modified example of the '90s Japanese Supercar era, this car's for you, and I expect it'll bring you many years of enjoyment! With the cockpit position, the on-center steering feel, and the performance sound, every daily drive feels like a trip to the autocross track! It's important, however, that buyers remember this vehicle is 16 years old, has 177k on its odometer, has racing seats, solid engine mounts, and no power steering. Set your expectations and bids accordingly: if you're looking for new-car refinement or something that's easy to parallel park, this ride isn't for you! Vehicle includes no warranty, explicit or implied. All sales final. Buyer is responsible pickup / transport of vehicle to his or her location and for vehicle's compliance with local law (e.g. California emissions).
