Vehicle Detail

1967 LANCIA FLAMINIA 2.8 GTL (3C) COUPE BY TOURING LANCIA V-6 2.8 LITRE ALLOY SUPERLEGGERA COUPE BY "TOURING" of Milan Lamborghini used this same coachbuilder for some of its most attractive "Superleggera" alloy bodies. Maserati used this same coachbuilder for some of its most attractive "Superleggera" alloy bodies. Ferrari used this same coachbuilder for some of its most attractive bodies. Lancia was the first cousin to Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini. Today, Lancia is one of the last truly great vintage Italian sports cars to offer "great value" and wonderful quality. Take advantage of this being the case while it lasts. This is just a solid and straight old original example of this scarce model. An estimated 1000 miles or less on complete overhaul of engine. An estimated 1000 miles or less on new clutch, pressure plates and throw out bearing. The brakes have had a recent overhaul. The paint is flaking, peeling and lost in spots but it is the original (first) paint. The original rubber trunk mat with "Touring" proudly embossed on it is still with the car and in excellent shape. Brand new sport exhaust system- 2 weeks old. This vehicle has been garaged and in good storage continuously at least since the mid-1970s. There is only the slightest beginnings of rust in the one (passenger side) inner rocker box. There are no prior patches or repairs and no evidence of any significant prior accident damage. The drivers door has been opened too far once, and caused a vertical dent in the front fender just ahead of the front edge. The glass appears to be original and fine. The seats have been redone (high quality job) in tan leather in what appears to be fairly recent times. The radio is out of the dash (appears to be the original) but with the car. It has all of the hubcaps and beauty rings. It appears to have its first set of tires. They are the original Michelin X radials and they show very little wear and no evidence of any front end alignment issues. There are spares and shop manuals that go with the car. It has a clear title. It is the 2.8 litre engine (original to this car) with the triple Weber carburetors. Odometer reads 80,869 miles, which we would have to think is original. However due to the age and no direct knowledge it is being sold TRUE MILEAGE UNKNOWN (TMU). SOLD AS-IS. Despite no guarantees, we firmly believe some body could jump in this car and drive it home 500 (or more) miles trouble free. It really drives out that well. This is a very special vintage sports car that should prove to be very worthwhile for the serious exotic car collector to consider purchasing. Only a handful of these handbuilt jewels were made and fewer remain. Don't miss it! Good luck bidding! LOW RESERVE. SOLD FOB Lynchburg, Virginia. We encourage inspection.
