Great American Classics is proud to offer up for sale this 1970 Chevelle SS Pro Street Cruiser. This thing definately draws a crowd everywhere it goes. It is amazing the amount of people who flock around this car when it is out on the town. The exhaust note from this car turns heads and puts a smile on my face of every car enthusiasts who hears it. This bad boy handles better than expected. This car is a cruising hot Rod. It is powered by a strong 454 big block Chevrolet, an aftermarket power brute heavy duty four speed transmission and a ford 9 inch narrowed rear end. It comes with the factory SS dash and instrument cluster, SS door panels, functional cowl induction hood. We do not know a lot about how the engine was built as we have bought the car the way it sits but it does run good and everything feels solid. We rebuilt the four speed and put new coilovers on the rear. We also put new carpet in it. It does have what appears to be a pretty big cam and loud exhaust on it and sounds very tough. The fuel cell and Battery are located in the trunk. It has MT Sportsman DOT tires on rear. The wheels are Crager Pro Stars. The rearend is a narrowed Frod 9 inch with Strange axles. The Power Brute 4 Speed comes with a Hurst Shifter. We put a TNT Nitrous system in the car which has not been hooked up yet. There will be no nitrous ran through this car before it sells. It will need a fuel sending unit in the fuel cell for the fuel guage to work. There are no wipers but they can be easily hooked up. The mechanisms are in place. it would just need a wiper motor and the wires ran from the engine side firewall to the motor. We did replace some of the weatherstripping. The engine has what sounds like a performance cam in it, a holley four barrel, a holley high rise intake, Headers and Motion performance aluminum valve covers. This Chevelle has front disc brakes also. The floors and sheetmetal appear to be in real good shape. The exterior of the car is in overall good condition. The chrome and trim look good. The paint is average driver quality and looks to have been painted some time ago but still looks very presentable. The glass looks good except for a couple of spots on the drivers side door and quarter glass. The interior is in good shape and shows well. The dash, carpet, headliner and seats are in great shape. This is not a show car. It is however an awsome clean driver that is fun and gets alot of attention.
