Here is my baby, sad to see her go. Up for auction is a 1997 Ford F-150 4x4 I have owned for 3 years. It has many new/updated parts. It has been a great truck, very reliable- the 4 wheel drive works greats both in high and low gear. It is a 3 door truck, it has been great because I have two children under the age of four. It comes with a reese style hitch and trailer hook-up's my ex-wife used the truck occasionally to pull a med size horse trailer to and from camp grounds and never had any problems with it, the body to me is in good shape for the age, there are some dents and dings here and there from everyday use, nothing major- small rust spots that you can see clearly in the pics, the frame is solid. all the lights and turn signals work. The truck is also equiped with a remote starter and alarm, which has come in handy in the cold mornings. It also comes with a working am/fm/cd player from the factory- the interior is in great shape in my eyes, it does have one small tear at the seam of the drivers seat, its not noticable unless you are looking right at it, its about the width of a 50 cent pc. Recently I have update many things such as..... New(er) 31 inch Goodyear Wrangler tires, I would say w/ about 60% life left on them, all four hold air. New brakes all around, new battery, New front end, newer transmission I would say with roughly 40,000 miles on it, new air filter, regular routine maintenace. The reason I am getting rid of the truck, as stated before I have 2 small children, I have put a lot of time and money into this truck but I have 5 other vehicles and 3 motorcyles at this time. The truck runs and drives ( take a close look at the tac in my pics, I took several of them and one shows the tac at about 1500 RPMs at idel- the other pics are when the truck is off), if you want to you can drive it home but it will need some what I think is minor attention soon, I believe it has a bad coil pack, the reason being it runs and idles fine, it drives fine, but it feels like it looses horse power if you step into the gas- the truck has been checked over- compresion testing shows the motor cranks out enough compresion, it is not leaking or burning oil and it holds antifreeze. It may be something simple like a distributor cap or timing is off?? If I had the means to fix it right now, I would and I would keep this truck and continue driving it. But I am going through a divorce I have went from 2 incomes raising a family to one and right now I am not in a position to justify spending the money to fix it having so many other vehicles around. With all that said I would not hesitate to hop in the truck and meet the buyer somewhere to complete the transaction I will be putting up a video on line of the truck running, to show that the remote start works, and a close up of the motor running and engaging in and out of 4 wheel drive. I will be glad to email all interested parties the link to the video of this truck, I will post it on youtube Monday night. I also welcome anyone interested in this truck to come take it for a test drive at any time.
