Please Note ! Before you ask questions, please read the ad discription all the way through. I will answer all questions to the best of my knowledge, and will not "sugar coat" any of my answers to make a fast sale. I would much rather downgrade the condition of something than to tell you a lie, and then only have you upset with me when you actually see it in person. But please "DO" ask questions !! I want the buyer to be completely satisfied with the purchase with no surprise's at pickup time. The only question I will "NOT" deal with is about my reserve !!!! General Discription This Stingray has sat dorment for 12 years, so needless to say it needs a complete restoration. It " DOES NOT HAVE A ENGINE " otherwise it is 95% complete. From the factory this car was the base 350ci w/ automatic 350 turbo trans & posi rear. Options are A/C & power steering. The motor is gone ( I never had the orig ), but the orig trans & rear end are still in the car. It also still has the radiator - shroud - p/s setup -all the factory A/C brackets & compressor - the distributor w/tach drive & cable - drive shaft. Car was Red on Red when I bought it, but the Original color (code #980) is Orange w/ dark tan interior (code #418) Very Rare color combo. Build date is K14. I've owned this car since 1993 and was my driver till 1998. Since then it has been stored outside & covered 90% of the time, but time has taken its toll on the paint & especially on the interior material. I'm selling off some projects and this is one I'll never get to, so I'm passing it along to some one else before it deteriorates even more. 1973 was the only year that had a chrome rear bumper & a urethane front. This also is a very low production convertible, and was the last year of the chrome bumper vettes making it a very rare & desirable collector item. All in all it is a solid, not butchered, almost complete convertible A/C Vette that will be an EZ restoration for anyone who knows how to restore ! CONDITION I will now list the good & the bad points of the car. ON the good side this will be EZ to restore as the boby & frame are in solid condition. The frame is totally solid from end to end. Has rust scale from normal driving & sitting conditions, but absolutely no rot or rust throughs anywhere.( I hit it everywhere with a hammer & hit NO rot ). It is straight and NOT bent. All body mounts appear to be in good shape. The body panels are all solid and Not cracked. Not even around the wheel openings. The drivers upper front fender was replaced somewhere along the way and could have been done better, but certainly is not an eyesore, nore does it stand out immediately when you first see it. Fits alittle snug along the hood line and at the headlite opening, but is OK. Doors & top lid fit great. Top frame fits good as does the hood. In one pic you will see cracking on the front of hood, but this is paint stress cracks and not in the fiberglass. The dash guages & instruments are in real good shape and were all working when I last drove the car. All conv related parts are on car and in very good shape, with the exception of the r/s upper corner moulding on the windshield frame ( shown in pic ),but is available as a reproduction part. On the bad side, the body has only one small rust hole on the pass side door post (shown in pic) about the size of a quarter. None on the drivers side! The front urethane bumper cover will need to be replaced, but was not damaged, just became to brittle. The top frame front bow has rust holes on both sides and should be replaced ( These are availible in catalogs ). Top itself moves freely and this is its only problem with the top. The brake system will need a complete rebuild, as well the front suspension parts. All pieces are in place, but need work. The transmission is in the car but I'm sure will need rebuilt. The interior will need a complete new kit and seat cushions, but all pieces are accounted for. Obviously it will need a top canvas. Once again, this car will need a complete restoration !!!!! TITLE I have an Oklahoma title in my name. This is a dupicate title ( orig lost ,but also in my name ). The title shows a lein going back to 1992, HOWEVER, I do have a lein release dated in 2001,also in my name. I really don't think this matters as I think old leins are only good for 10 years anyway, but the release is there should you need it. The winner of this auction will need to contact me within 12 hrs of close of auction, to make your payment intentions clear, and to arrange a pickup time. Shipping & pickup arrangements are the sole responcibility of the buyer and not of the seller. Whatever your payment method might be, vehicle will "NOT" leave my pocession untill all forms of money have cleared my bank, or I have cash in hand. Thanks & Good Luck
