Vehicle Detail

THIS AUCTION IS FOR THIS 1967 BMW 2000C. IT IS EQUIPPED WITH A FOUR CYLINDER AND AUTO TRANSMISSION.RED WITH A BLACK INTERIOR. IT IS BEING SOLD WITH A CLEAR/SALVAGE TITLE. THE PRIOR OWNER DISASSEMBLED THE DASH TO REFINISH THE WOOD AND START RESTORING IT BUT GAVE UP. IT RUNS BUT SEEMS TO HAVE A LEAKING HEAD GASKET.THE MECHANICAL CONDITION IS UNKNOWN SO I AM LISTING IT AS A PARTS CAR FOR SALE. ACTUAL MILAGE IS UNKNOWN. I BELIEVE IT IS VERY RESTORABLE AS YOU CAN SEE BUT I DON’T WANT TO MISLEAD ANYONE. THE HOOD WAS CLOSED WITH SOMETHING IN BETWEEN IT AND DAMAGED THE FRONT. THERE ARE 2 SHEETS OF VINEER IN THE TRUNK TO REDO SOME OF THE WOODWORK. IF YOU ASK QUESTIONS I WILL ANSWER THEM AS ACCURATELY AND HONESTLY AS I CAN. THIS IS FOR SALE LOCALLY BUT IF A BID IS PLACED I WILL LET THE AUCTION GO TO THE END. THIS IS A CALIFORNIA CAR. THIS IS AN AS IS/ WHERE IS AUCTION. A NON-REFUNDABLE $100 DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION AND THE CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 2 WEEKS UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE IN ADVANCE. BALANCE DUE IN CASH AT TIME OF PICKUP. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING.On Apr-17-10 at 10:05:42 PDT, seller added the following information: SORRY, I FORGOT TO POST YOUR ANSWER. THE BUMPERS ARE VERY STRAIGHT .On Apr-17-10 at 10:11:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry for the delay in answering. I wanted to inspect it in the daylight. The odometer reads 91960. There is a blister on the rear fender the size of a pencil eraser. There is a 2 inch crack in a bondo repair below the bumper. the inside floors have no carpet mats and the metal is coated in factory tar paper and coating. I used an awl to probe the lowest points of the floorboards and found them to be very solid. I lifted the interior of the trunk and the spare tire well is great, still with original paint, shiny and no signs of rust. We rolled the car off the trailer and the brakes worked. I put gas in the tank and carb and got it running but the head gasket had a leak.Once the clear gas got through the carb it ran ok. There was no smell of rotten gas from the tank, in fact it was shiny metal as far as you can see down. I shut it down and there it sits. It will need to be hauled out, not driven. I am in posession of this car due to owed money by the previous owner. I have a salvage title. thank youOn Apr-17-10 at 10:14:32 PDT, seller added the following information: THE RADIO IS IN THE TRUNK WITH THE OTHER DASH PARTS. IT APPEARS TO BE THE ORIGINAL BLAUPUNKT. THANKSOn Apr-17-10 at 18:03:17 PDT, seller added the following information: IT IS AN AM BLAUPUNKT, YES IT HAS WHITE KNOBS. THANK YOU
