You are bidding on a 1979 10th Anniversary Firebird Trans Am with the original, numbers matching 403 motor. This is a very nice, unrestored WS6 Silver Anniversary TA. I purchased this car in 2005 because I have always wanted an Anniversary car but I have too many projects so this one has to go. This is one of only 5,683 produced w/auto transmission. It is unrestored; what you see is what you get. Rear Differential: 2:73 ratio, posi traction. Body: Needs very little work. There is about a 50-cent piece sized (or smaller) rust hole in the passenger side front fender as shown in the picture, it is not bad. Other than minor surface rust, that is the worst spot I could find. This is a good, solid, original car. There is slight damage to one corner on rear bumper so I am including a really nice rear bumper with the car. The rear spoiler set ends are yellowed so I am also including another spoiler end set purchased on Ebay from another Anniversary car. The trunk is solid. The unibody frame members are in great shape. This car will need a paint job but looks okay. I am also including a decal set from Phoenix Graphics for the Anniversary car with the sale of the car but it has been in the original shipping tube for several years. I am also including another power antenna (not original) with the sale. Motor: The numbers match and the motor sounds great. This car has under 100k original miles it. The engine compartment looks great. I have driven the car one time around the block the day it arrived and it has been in storage ever since. It starts on the first crank and sounds very strong. Carburetor: This is original but should be rebuilt. Transmission: It is an automatic, Turbo 350 tranny. Interior: The interior is the original silver. The back seat is in pretty good shape. The front seats are not in good shape at all. I purchased a nice set of USED, original front seat covers that were removed from another Anniversary car that will be included in the sale of the car. The Fisher T-Top’s are the original, correct mirrored T-Tops. The dash is in beautiful condition with the original stereo still in the car. The car has cruise control (the lever will need to be replaced, an additional used one is included in the sale of the car), power windows, power locks, power steering and power brakes. The car has A/C but I have never used it. Has pulse wipers and trunk release button in glove box. There is a console door lid but it is in rough shape. Extras: I do have the original build sheet for the car and it is in excellent condition. I have done my best to describe the car and will do my best to answer any questions that serious potential buyers may have. This is a 30+ year old, unrestored car so it will need some work. Though the reserve price is low, I will not reveal it. I am also including the extra wheel that is in the trunk. Please note: I am not selling the car because I am broke or desperate; I am selling it because I have too many projects and need the room. That being said, I will NOT knowingly sell this car to anyone planning to part it out. I doubt there are many Anniversary cars like mine left that have not been messed with. This is a great, complete and solid car that needs very little work. Please have your finances ready prior to bidding.
