I am selling my 1974 Porsche 911. Though it does need some TLC, it runs and drives. My mechanic told me it could use some new spark plug wires and to replace the pulley seal. When I asked him if it was life or death, he smiled and told me it will be fine. He did do a 'leak down' test on the motor and it did really well. (#1-8%, #2-9%, #3-6%, #4-6%, #5-9%, #6-7%). According to him, anything under 10% was excellent. It does have an updated 2.7l block from a 1977 (#6270142). The interior either needs seat covers and a dashmat or it needs more TLC. The seats are cracked but the foam is sturdy..The exterior paint is cracking. According to a paint guy, they used to repaint cars in the 70's without any prep work. The undercarriage looks fine. The window glass all look fine and seals seem tight.Doors and hood and truck open and close without a hitch. There is no rust by the battery tray or suspension joints.
