1983 Mercedes 300 D Turbo Diesel in great shape. Runs like a champ. Recently went across the country from Utah to South Carolina and back with great gas mileage. Newer tires. Please send email if you would like more pictures or call 801808-0705 if you have any questions or would like to see the car. ***I just noticed how bad the vin score is and looked around and saw the same thing on a bunch of others of this same age. Once the mileage gets over 100K and the car is over a certain age the mileage on the titles in Utah say exempt. Unfortunately ebay doesn't recognize that so gives it a low score. The title is clean and mileage is accurate for the condition of the car. I just drove it over 100 miles today and what a joy to drive.*** It has partially been converted to run on vegetable oil (and even had a local Burger King agreed to provide their weekly oil "cheap/free"). It still needs the tank installed but was told the proper lines had been installed. It looks like original paint and is in really great shape for the year. The previous owner was very mechanical and very very meticulous. There are a couple flaws like the worn edge on the drivers seat. There is a small tear 4 inches in the headliner easily repairable. There are a few rock chips on the front and there is a picture of a couple tiny scuffs on the lower door. A/C worked last year but we are still getting snow so havent had to use it yet. It cruises nicely at 75 and is as smooth as a cadillac. Even the vacuum still works to lock and unlock the doors with the key. Pretty ahead of its time in the early 80's. I reserve the right to end the auction early since I have it for sale or trade ?? locally. I would be quite confident that this would drive as far away as any buyer could possible be. I have a friend who works for the airlines who could drive it as well for a fee and just fly home.
