I have a 1999 Ford F250 Light Duty truck for sale. This looks like a F150, however it has a beefier frame, larger transmission, 7 lug rims, and a host of other little things from the factory that place it squarely in between a F150 and a F250 Super Duty. This truck has an interesting history and will try to list all I know about it. This truck was ordered brand new from Capital Ford in Raleigh, North Carolina at the end of 1998 and was delivered to the North Carolina Crime Control & Public Safety in 1999. Once it was delivered it had 3 pieces of equipment installed by NCCC/PS, a single flashing blue light in the windshield, VIPER radio, and a rechargeable flashlight. This truck was ordered to serve as the Governors vehicle at the Western Governors Mansion. In NC the Governor has 2 residences and with sometimes severe weather and snow they wanted a vehicle stationed at that house that could get through pretty much anything. I have all of the service records from day one until now that will be included with the vehicle. That file alone is over 4" thick. It received regular maintenance from day one and has had some larger maintenance when needed. They obviously intended to keep the truck based upon the major service done at 168,000 miles before bringing it out of service. However I was told that based upon NC State Highway Patrol having a partnership with Dodge since the Charger came out that Dodge cut them a VERY sweet deal on a Ram 1500 to replace this truck and have their fleet be all Dodge. NCCC/PS has now evolved into the Highway Patrol which is responsible for Executive protection to the Governor & Lt. Governor. Below are some of the major highlights. Regular Cab Long Bed 4x4 5.4 Triton -Oil Changed every 6,000 miles (Pennzoil & Baldwin Filter)-Air Filter Changed every 18,000 miles-NEW FORD Dealer Installed Engine at 36,000 miles-At 168,000 miles had Upper & Lower Control Arms, CV Joints, Front & Rear Brakes & Rotors, BFG KO2 All Terrain tires, as well as a rebuilt 4r100 transmission. The 168,000 service cost over $5500 alone.-New Headliner & New Seat Upholstery The paperwork chronicles every oil change, air filter, brake rotor, tire, windshield washer fluid, etc ever done to this truck. I have owned this truck for about 6 months and have put over 4000 miles on it since I have owned it without any problems.
