increasingly rare 1995 lwb PROJECT BUT WORTH SAVING. Great candidate for rolling restoration. Drive while you tinker. Currently not starting, probably due to battery being dead after sitting for 2 weeks in the cold and now won't hold charge, but possibly another issue, starter alternator etc. Alternator is very new and was working fine so probably not that.Was daily driver until recently and previous owner bought new truck. Needs manifold gasket replaced passenger side. Some coolant leak.Windows in-op, seat motor in-op, typical ecu issue.Has rust in some of the usual places, not in others, see pictures, but frame solid.It has leaks, steering box area either hoses or box is most prolific, one wheel hub seal is seeping, and some sweating along rear diff I believe. No other areas that I have seen leaving any drops on driveway.Front seats replaced, leather is very nice, perfect match with back.Upper tailgate replaced, very good shape, one strut not attached.DOES NOT OVERHEAT. REPEAT. DOES NOT OVERHEAT. I drove it on an 80 degree day in bumper to bumper traffic with a/c on high and she stayed cool, then after that at speed on highway similar conditions and needle stayed in dead center temp gauge.SRS light on common in 95's. CEL light due to manifold.Very original even has cd player in back like new.Windshield good shape no cracks.Interior has cracked plastic but whole dash is amazing and that is usually hardest to replace.Brakes great. Tranny was replaced, shifts great. Sunroof works. Thule roof rack. Load space cover.When it rains water leaks into floorpans which accounts for rust you see in pic. I believe this is clogged drain as headliner stays dry. Drivers side rust thru passenger side not rusted thru but has rust.I love this truck. I got this with intent to fix up but this exceeds my rudimentary mechanical skills and small budget and the fact that I have two other vintage cars and a wife who thinks three are too many, has influenced this decision to sell instead of fix up. I don't want to part it, I want to find it a home with someone who can get it back on the road and enjoy this great beast. She's a driver, not a junker. Plenty left in her.Was running beautifully a month and a half ago before battery died.Currently in storage in Long Island. Just to be clear, again, this is a project, no pretty pictures all buffed and armor-all'd, with some bs description.Feel free to ask questions but please do a little research if you haven't owned a classic rover before.They are beautiful trucks, have a ton of character, those who love them, love them, those who don't don't, they do need more maintenance than most other cars, and if someone selling you one tells you otherwise, then expect some level of disappointment in your ownership of the Rover they sold you.In general, if you get one, get it base-lined, check fluids, do regular maintenance, keep a couple spare parts on hand, befriend a trusty-worthy mechanic, these are great, quirky, trucks.Buy a restored one for 30-40k or start here.This as is where is ,no warranties, expect to tow, as is where is, cash and carry.
