I am selling my 1987 BMW K75 S model that includes the side panniers and top case. Odometer is showing 28,033miles but is not working. Speedometer and tachometer work fine. The bike starts and runs but starts “missing/cutting out” after a few minutes. This is usually a sign of the Hall Effect Sensor(HES) going out. The previous owner replaced the fuel pump and said he cleaned the injectors and installed new fuel lines. The rear brake is not working and this is a non ABS bike. The front fairing is loose and I noticed a slight crack in the fairing near the steering column(see image #9). I bought the bike with the intention of restoring or making a cafe/scrambler out of it. I have always been intrigued with the K75 and have wanted one for years. But bought a 1981 r100 RT a month before this bike and my time and resources are tied up in the r100. I like BMW’s, and currently have a r100, G650xcountry and f650gs. So I am reluctantly selling the K75S. I believe all the bike needs is a Hall Effect Sensor(HES), clean and bleed the rear brake and tighten/repair the front fairing mounting bracket. It appears that the bike was resprayed at some point. The K75S version is the most desirable of all K75 bikes. This would be a great bike to restore or customize into a cafe/scrambler.
