2000 528iT Touring custom specified with rare 5 speed manual transmission (1 of 125 for 2000) and rare color combination of Alpine white with black interior (1 of 1 for 2000) from the factory. Sorted, restored, and garaged, this car is in very good condition. The 2.8 liter M52TU dual vanos motor has a lot of torque which coupled with upgraded 346 gears and Jim Conforti shark injector engine software (208 hp / 221 tq) qualifies this touring as fast. The overall build quality feels higher than current BMW offerings. The 528it has great steering feel because it has rack and pinon steering vs recirculating ball on other 540 E39s. The original paint shows very well. Never in accident and all panels are original except for the front bumper that was upgraded to E39 M5 and painted with BMW coded PPG paint. A few touch up paint spots were first primed with epoxy paint then oem touch up paint. Not sure there is another in this condition and with these options. Certainly not as a completed restoration. Restoration on these cars are a complicated project that requires a budget in the $25k range and a good car. Selling because we have no space for spare car in our new home. All Display pixels intact. The leather seats are soft with mostly matte leather and no wear marks. Original seats go with car and are perfect. The carpet is almost perfect. All buttons and features work correctly on the entire car. Glass is great no chip or rash, but the driver door glass does have a minor scratch. Cowl under wiper has minor sun fading. No paint work on any body part except for m5 front bumper which was installed with new OEM parts. 4 keys included one is worn but works the other is new the other two are valet and wallet. Missing passenger map light lens cover. Passenger seatback tilt works poorly, it broke when a detailer put the seat in full forward position. It has the common snapped square cable issue that is repairable. I have the original seats that are in perfect shape and will go with the car. Rear hatch opens and stays open but is getting weak. Minor wheel rash on three wheels. Two rear wheels have minor pitting due to brake dust. The car has been regularly detailed and comes with fresh high quality detail. Mechanically, all the big preventative items have been completed. The car has not been in any accidents. The alignment was just done. FINISH THE PROJECT I planned to put the m5 touring rear bumper, exhaust and larger rear sway bar on the car. This car was owned in Willow Grove PA which sees about 15" of snow a year (less than norther VA). During our ownership the car has never been driven in snow conditions. I have pictures of the undercarriage, contact me and I can send through ebay. The title report shows four owners, there were actually three and I have the records to substantiate this. The car was not originally sport, but every suspension part has been replaced with new / sport items including control arms trailing arms etc. by Rogue Engineering. The steering wheel is from the face-lifted 530i and works on this car because this is a late 2000 model that had the updated electronic system that included the dual stage airbags. The update also included the new style keys that was used in BMWs up to 2006. The only paint issue is minor and typical road rash around the kidneys, one scuff on the front bumper below the belt line passenger side (touched up and very hard to spot) and a dime sized touch up near the driver rear fender. The car has one minor ding near the driver side trunk. Headliner is original and fully intact. It does have some smudges, I have never tried to clean it. The rear cargo cover is included and also has vertical netting. The rear doors have built in retracting sun screens. Rear cigarette lighter was covered with teflin tape to delete ash tray in prep for a concourse and I never changed it back. There is a small switch dummy in the wood trim that is missing. We only use shell premium gas. Bike rack brand is Thule. We have keys for both the bike rack and roof carrier. Since this was not an original wheel, we paid for this to be changed. The stereo sounds amazing. I am pretty serious about audio and had the oem system completely replaced. With the updated electronics it feels like the car is current. The headunit also projects WAZE map onto the screen for navigation and controls iphone applications from the screen. It has cd player and HD radio. The subwoofer is tucked into the space above the battery and takes 0 cargo space. It is easily removed to access battery. I added a picture of the trunk. The car was specified originally as a manual and not done as a manual swap. The wood trim is actually Stahlgrau, an m5 trim only offered in Europe.
