Talk About a Rare Bird, 1981 AMC Eagle Sx4, 13,000 miles. 4x4 258i6, automatic. with hi/low transfer case, Jensen Premium audio. Solid Frame with minor rust, Does have rust on passenger floor pan and rockers, will need replacing. overall a worthwhile project. Does not currently run. I do not believe the mileage to be a rollover, I believe the odometer is true, and this is the lowest known mileage on an amc eagle. I believe the vehicle sat, until 1997-1998, when it was picked up and put back on the road , the gas tank was replaced at this time, an indication that it did sit, was fixed up, driven, and has sat since. The title also supports this theory. Why it sat I can only speculate. I also have a 49k mile eagle I used for wear and tear reference, very well kept, Same color interior. It now has 80k, but shows significantly more wear in relation to the miles. Particularly on the key insert, brake pedal, door, which has not cracked in the famous spot and seats. You can clearly tell the car was barely used. Unfortunately sat for 4 decades, but for the most part, it survived. I believe this vehicle still has the stock tailpipe and axles, the front end looks factory. I have a NOS tailpipe as a reference, It has most of the original stickers, most somewhat legible.
