Vehicle Detail
Upgrades/Maintenance: Stereo - Professionally installed Pioneer double din CD Player with Bluetooth, A/D/S 6 Channel Amplifier, Kicker 6-1/2" Component Front Speakers, MTX 5-1/4" Coax Rear Speakers, 1 Farad Capacitor are all included with the vehicle and working with zero issues. There was a sub Amp and Stealth-box Sub woofer have been removed from the vehicle, but are available if interested (i'd happily have reinstalled). All Wiring for a sub amp and sub are safety disconnected but in place for a easy addition (but obviously not required). This vehicle has zero gauge wiring running from the battery to the driver seat (with a fuse block under the hood), under the seat it leads to a distribution/ fuse block which splits up to four power sources (currently now only one is for the speaker amplifier). This is also where the farad capacitor is located and the 6 channel amplifier. I had the subwoofer amplifier under the passenger seat where dedicates sub-woofer RCA's, inactive 4 gauge power wiring (ground and power), remote wire, and 12 gauge sub wiring are current terminated.I have a brand new, in box, replacement rear bumper which will come with the sale. Helps keep the entire electronic system stable however i had done this to help a whine i was getting from the aftermarket stereo system. Installed the "big 3" dash and lights stopped dimming, whine was gone, truck seemed to be happier and little more responsive.3yr old Walker Quite Flow Header Back full exhaust replacement (new Cat Converter, muffler, full exhaust replacement). This does appear to be rusting pretty well for its short age and the tailpipe needs replacing. I'm not sure what Walker offers as a warranty, i have all receipts if of any use to the purchaser, otherwise cat back isn't that much.Around 90,000 water pump was replaced119,312m - EBC Drilled & Slotted Front Brake Discs, New Alternator, all belts replaced with Gates130,600m - replaced the entire rear axle, rear differential, rear drums & pads, PIAA Night Tech Headlight Bulbs, Sylvania long life replacement for all taillights & upgraded , Bosch Icon Wipers, new Fuel Tank Neck, new fog light bulbs131,023m - Front Diff & w/ Amsoil Severe Gear Lube, Trans Drain/Fill w/ Amsoil ATF, Coolant Drain/Fill w/ Amsoil coolant139,966m - Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads & new hardware 150,035m - Front & Rear Universal Joints replaced160,765m - New Spectra Gas Tank, all gas lines, tank straps, fuel pump, filter, mesh bagThis vehicle has always been in the family, once owned by my mom who lives in northeast PA, and then i purchased it from her and have kept it in NJ... i was with her at the dealership when she purchased it. The truck runs great and strong, no dash lights are on, no codes have been thrown, 3 years ago the exhaust from the headers back including both catalytic convertors. Within the carfax report it does list a accident. My mother was driving down interstate 81 in NE PA and a sheet of rigid foam insulation flew out of a pickup truck that was in front of her. The sheet flipped up into the area, spun a few times and hit the front driver side A-pillar and windshield. It cracked the windshield and dented the A-pillar, minor damage and she was able to safely pull off the road. It has never left me stranded and to this day i would not hesitate to pick up and take it cross country. It doesn't hesitate, I've used it to tow dirt bikes and ATV's, i've taken it on long trips in the hot summer months and below freezing. Heat and A/C works great... truck mechanically runs fantastic. We have never been ones to fix something once it stops working, but to constantly keep up with every rattle, hum, vibration, etc... i like to think i'm pretty observant and can tell when something isn't running as it was. All engine and transmission fluids have always been replaced routinely. We've always changed the oil routinely at 3,500 miles using Mobil 1 Oil. I now use Mobil 1 High Mileage 5w-30 oil. Last oil change was @ 161,337 miles with Mobil 1 5w-30 high mileage and a Bosch extra distance filter. In addition the truck burns no oil... while i'm sure it does use a drop or so the oil on the dip stick never drops between changes. The transmission, differential, and transfer case were always done routinely as well, the last service was around 30,000 miles ago using Amsoil products. I've always had alignments done on the vehicle every 6 months (lifetime alignment via Firestone). I've always had 2 sets of wheels... OEM wheels and all seasons for summer use, and then a dedicated set of snow tires for winter months. So i would get a alignment once i changed wheels for the upcoming season. These TRD wheels are for sale desperately if interested. I recently decided to upgrade to a new 2018 Toyota 4Runner. While this truck has been great to me, and it doesn't owe me a dime. I've been using it as a daily driver with my 4 year old daughter and felt like it was time for a upgrade for her and for me. I bought the new vehicle 2 months ago and thought i would use the old truck more than i have but i have no need for a backup vehicle. That's why i bought another Toyota... they just keep on running. The only things this vehicle needs are the following items :New Power Steering Rack (i'm not sure if you can just replace the seals, regardless it being the original power steering rack it would be best to just replace it in full. The truck drives, the power streering rack is still functino, but it needs to be refilled just about every time you drive it. If the truck sits for a long period of time the pump squeals until it gets some fluid and then starts working with no issues. This does not mean that the steering will stop working on you one day. What will happen is the steering pump will go and you will have old school, manual steering, which isn't a issue when your at speed, but can be a bear if maneuvering at very slow speeds. About 2 months ago the hood latch cable froze, i pulled the cable inside the truck, the hood didn't open and the latch stayed up. My mechanic was able to get the hood to open. However the hood release is no longer inside of the vehicle. It was binding somewhere at the firewall. The release cable is now within the driver side fender well.Rust is getting the best of this vehicle, as it often does on these years (to the body and the frame)... however mechanically the truck is mint runs strong and doesn't complain. I'm sure this vehicle will serve someone well for quite a few more years. Someone with welding skill and time could easily patch this up... i just lack the access to the skill or a friend that could help me. Body rust is mainly on both rocker panels under the driver and passenger door behind the front wheels as well as the rear bumper. I have plenty of high resolution photo's to share of the underside. Please contact me and i will share a link with you. I'll try to attach the link below however Ebay usually blocks links to outside websites. https://interarch.app.box.com/folder/57848075633If interested I also have a Q-Logic custom box that goes in the back hatch and fills the pocket on the passenger side wall below the window. The box was then further modified to fit a Sundown SD3 sub-woofer. This is sold AS-IS... no warranty. I'm more than happy to get any additional photo's of the vehicle for you, if you are local i'm available to meet so you can see in person. I have a ton of service records on this vehicle, as well as all of the original purchase options / window sticker, and even the dealership 1999 brochure (so you can see the available options). Buyer is fully responsible for the shipping and handling or pickup of this vehicle. Good luck and Happy Bidding!
