1959 BUICK 4 DOOR ELECTRA - 6 WINDOW SEDAN. THIS IS A ONE FAMILY OWNED CAR WITH THE ORIGINAL TITLE FROM 1959. I was recently contacted by the owner about selling this car. He told me it has been off the road since 1983 ( 35 years ). He would start it regularly to keep it running. He informed me that it has 15k original miles. I have several documents, stickers and receipts to indicate that it is a 15k original mile vehicle. When I picked up the car, it was currently not running. The tires were flat and appear to be original 1959 front tires, and snow tires on the rear. I installed a new battery and fresh fuel and had the car running in about 5 minutes. It runs very quiet and sounds very good. I would recommend to whoever is the next owner, that they go through the mechanics of the car as I have only driven it around the yard to make sure the brakes and transmission were in working condition. The car is very solid with no visible rust. The underside has factory undercoat which is indicated on the dealers bill of sale. The paint appears to be about 35-40 years old and does show some age, please see the pictures below. The interior is original and in very nice condition. All the gauges seem to work. The headlights work, the original radio is still working, the blinkers work. The tail lights are not working, I am thinking that it could be just the bulbs. it has one broken back up light on the driver side. The TRIM is all there and in very nice condition with the exception of an area over the driver side headlight (dent) and also the passenger rear at the top of the quarter as seen in the pictures. This will make a nice original car to enjoy or great platform for an easy restoration.
