Vehicle Detail
I have my 2006 BMW 650I up for sale. This car is an overall nice driving vehicle. It is mechanically strong. Pulls great, shifts tight, drives straight, stops straight, goes down the road very smooth. I have put 2000 miles on the car since owning and it has been very reliable. On nice days I do 120 mile round trip runs to work, and would trust this car to go anywhere. I have priced this car according to cosmetics and minor fixes it needs. This car has a rebuilt title and most recent was hit in the drivers side door. I have included a before picture. I have paperwork from BMW from it getting fixed. I am going to be up front and honest about what I know about the car and what I feel it could use. The drivers side door panel needs a new door clip as I broke the old one. The drivers side window controller is not working and I was looking into the issue. It looks like it has a short in the door harness not the control switch. It is an easy fix but we just had a newborn and I haven't had time to find and put a new/used harness in. The drivers door needs slight adjustment forward as you can see in the picture it rubs on the seal when closed and opened. This misalignment causes the window to roll up tight. You can control the windows up and down with the remote and that has how I have put up and down the drivers window. The passenger window works just fine with the switch. It does have a couple warning lights on in the dash for adaptive headlights etc but they do not affect the drive ability. I do think the short in the door harness has caused some of it. The backside of the headliner towards the back window has a very slight sag and I had planned on steaming the glue and re positioning it but again haven't had time. The windshield washer fluid tank leaks and I can't see if it is just the hose line, you have to take part of the inner fender off to gain access. The fog lights do not work and I haven't looked into when its the connector or what has caused it. The paint overall is a 7 in my opinion and could be an 8 if someone took the time to high speed polish and clay bar. It still looks good in the sun and they did a great job when they re painted the donor door and fender. It does need an A/C compressor as the compressor does not kick on. Heat works great. I was told by the previous owner that the clutch has been replaced in the car. Tires and wheels are flawless and tires have very little wear on them. Recently the slotted rotors and pads have been replaced. This really is a nice driving car and as previously stated this is a reliable vehicle. If someone took the time and fixed the small things you could have a really nice vehicle on your hands. I have tried to be as honest as possible but again I am not a mechanic so feel free to come look at the vehicle in person. I will also answer any questions or add additional pictures as requested. Only reason for selling is buying a four door truck for the family. NO RESERVE** Title is in my name Thank you!
