Vehicle Detail
2005 Pontiac Bonneville 4.6L V8 NorthStar EngineOne Owner -- Clear Title -- Cosmetic and Engine Repairs Needed (see below)VIN: 1G2HZ54Y55U138384 Head Turning Car -- Needs Home MechanicThis is a great looking car although has some repairs that would be best suited for the home mechanic to reduce total expense and get this car back into tip top shape. Maintenance Records Kept for major repairs over the life of the vehicle but are not very organized (would take time to run a full history). Fluids and Tires changed per maintenance recommendations. Has been driven by a single owner for the entire life of the vehicle and had a engine replaced under warranty at 66,990 miles, so the engine has 117,120 miles while the total mileage of the vehicle and other components are as shown in the photos (184,110). Most Recent Repairs:Transmission Replaced ~ 40,000 miles agoValve Cover Gaskets ReplacedEngine Mounts ReplacedLeft Front Hub/Bearing Assembly ReplacedPower Steering Leak RepairedCoolant Leak RepairedOther Maintenance History could be researched Current Condition: Shocks Need ReplacingOil Cooler Needs Replacing*Cosmetic Damage to Front BumperCosmetic Damage to Plastic Side PanelHeadliner Beginning to SeparateRadio Display is Blank* The Oil Cooler and Radiator in this car (if I was told correctly) are sandwiched together and according to the latest inspection due to a Check Engine Light there is a leak in the Oil Cooler that causes these fluids to mix. As far as I have been told this is not a head gasket problem. The car has not been driven since this inspection so repairs should not be too complicated. The Air Conditioning works but may need a recharge of the Freon. This was last done about a year ago. The car has sat idle for a few months once the latest problem was discovered with the Oil Cooler/Radiator so the battery needs a good charge or replacement. Tires are low on tread as well. As stated above, this car could once again become a "Head Turner" with the proper maintenance care. Shipping Details Buyer Pays ALL transport fees. The car does run and can be driven but it increases the likelihood of further damage due to above stated conditions. Towing Preferred but at the discretion of the buyer. Car is sold "AS IS" and to the best of my knowledge with the conditions stated above.
