1988 Ford Mustang LX, 5.0 liter 302, 5 speed manual Up for sale is my 1 owner, original Mustang which I bought from the factory over 30 years ago. - Original, One Owner car. I purchased it new from the Ford factory (Z plan) - No Accident car. Never a repair from an accident. Car is straight - No Rust car. San Francisco (CA) and Las Vegas (NV); both dry road cities - Emission Equipment car. All fully functional. Smog checks annually in NV - Newer Paint (Factory recalled in 1993). Garaged indoors since 1997 (20+ years) - Mechanical and Electrical solid car. A short list of what does not work perfect - All Receipts car. For major parts or repair work done. Binder of records - Non Smoker car. No odd smells or ash tray use, etc. - Stock Engine car. Original engine has never been modified - Stolen from me in 2003. Insurance / DMV forced me to rebuild the title This Mustang is a driver. It is not a show car, and it has not been restored. It was mostly a daily driver or a 2nd car for the first 10 years. After that it has been a 3rd or 4th car of mine, garaged the whole time, and only driven occasionally. It has power locks, a sunroof, A/C (no charge), stereo, front / rear defroster, cruise control Upgrades. I made improvements to the drive train and suspension over the years. I have a full log of this, along with all receipts for the work done. It's a long list, and I will provide this upon request. These upgrades made the car easier to drive, and a more stable, predictable and reliable performer. The binder. Included is a large binder which contains most all of the documentation I have managed to keep on it; purchases, improvements, and repairs. In addition, I have cut out and saved over 100+ pages of (30 year old) Fox Mustang tech write ups from performance Mustang magazines; parts installs, tech reviews, and speed secrets, etc. All preserved in the binder. Extra parts. It doesn't need one yet, but I am including another (new in box) Clutch Disc, Pressure Plate, and Throw out Bearing with the sale. They are Ford SVO racing parts, and stiff. Also including the Rear Sway bar (which I removed). Also another spare pony rim and cap. Recent repair. I just had a brand new (not rebuilt) Power Steering Rack & Pinion and new Tie rod ends put in, as seals were going in the original one. I just put in a new battery. I had the trunk and gas tank electronics fixed. Also a valve cover seal fixed. The Title. 15 years ago someone stole my car. It was gone for 3 months. Then the police found and returned the car to me. But, I had to restructure the title because of the DMV and some Insurance company mistake. The vehicle has never seen a junk yard, or parts from one. I will describe this in full detail upon request. Fix-it List. The car is in great mechanical and electric condition for being 30 years old. But, the list is: Cruise control, and Horn disconnected (from thieves). A cigarette burn in back seat (from thieves). Needs Front floor mats. A very small oil pan drip. A gas tank hose clamp (when full). Gas tank fuel level sensor (not accurate). A couple interior plastic panels need better securing (screws). The pictures.
