Automatic Transmission 3.8 V6 Handicap Accessible Van Freedom Manual Folding Ramp Non-Emergecy Medial Transport No Reserve Auction! 85+ Pictures High Res Pictures -- Please allow time to load! Vehicle Description: This is a 7-Day NO RESERVE auction for a 2003 Ford Windstar Wheelchair Handicap Disability Van! HIGH BIDDER WINS! Good looking Van - needs some mechanical work please read the whole ad! Check out the pictures! Thank you for checking out my auction - please take the time to read the full description below and carefully examine the high resolution pictures. I try to describe the positives & negatives of this vehicle accurately in this description. Check out this 2003 Ford Windstar Van that is equipped with a manual folding wheel chair ramp. This vehicle was previously owned by a transportation company -- after purchasing this vehicle I have driven it about 100 miles since. This van is equipped with options like power windows, power locks, power mirrors, cruise control, alloy wheels, and front/rear climate control. Mechanically, this Windstar needs some attention. The engine runs smooth and is strong, but after it warms up there is a very noticeable tapping noise...sounds like possibly a lifter or valve (sounds like a top end noise). When it is cold and first started, the engine is quiet. When you rev the engine up, the noise almost goes away. At idle, its very noticeable after the engine is fully warmed up. I haven't tried any sort of oil treatments or anything of that nature to hide the noise. There is a YouTube video below that you can hear it clearly. The engine runs strong and there is no lack of power. The transmission shifts good and goes through all the gears. This van has been sitting for some time, although it does fire right up. The brakes stop the van straight and well, a little pulsation and noise from the rear brakes that I think is mainly due to sitting. This van is equipped with factory cruise control and it works like it should. While driving the suspension components appears to be in overall good shape except the rear shocks, it will definitely need rear shocks it is very bumpy in the rear. The steering appears to be in good working condition and the van drives straight. Exhaust is good and quiet, maybe a tiny bit louder than a standard Windstar...but this is usually the case due to the custom exhaust to accommodate the vans with the wheel chair ramps. I have not noticed any leaks on the ground where this Windstar has been sitting. While driving, the transmission shifts smooth and goes into all gears. There is a slight vibration above 40 MPH that gets more noticeable as you approach highway speeds, it feels like one of the rear tires is out of balance or flat-spotted. Pretty typical stuff for a van this age. The front two tires are 225/60/16 Kelly tires with some decent tread remaining. The rear tires are 215/65/16 and are mismatched brands, the driver's rear tire is rather worn while the passenger rear is nearly new tread. All of the tires, especially the left rear, may have a little weather cracking. The climate control works and this Windstar blows air wherever you want it to (vents, defroster, etc - front and rear), and all power settings. The heat appears to be working but the A/C is not operational (I haven't tried to charge it). This Windstar is equipped with a factory AM/FM/CD/Cassette audio system - I was unable to get it to power on. There is also a rear entertainment system that I was also unable to power on - perhaps there is a fuse that controls both the radio and TV but I haven't checked into it. I have not been able to get the hood to fully latch, but it is closed and does not fly open. There have been no warning lights illuminated during my ownership. All of the gauges read properly and there are no abnormal readings. The front power windows work just fine, although only the passenger rear power venting window works. The power locks work, but some doors do not lock and unlock with the power function. Overall, please read the above description...if you live nearby you should be able to drive it home but I do not know what that ticking noise is. Cosmetically -- this van is in good condition with no significant body damage. There is minimal rust for the year and region. The paint is overall in good condition, there is some evidence of previous rust repair in the left rear wheel well but it still looks good. There are areas where the old company's lettering is noticeable in the paint but it is hard to pick up on it in the pictures. The trim pieces are missing, I believe this van was previously vinyl wrapped. I've tried to capture the imperfections in the high resolution pictures below, please inspect them carefully. All of the doors open and close without problems, and the door panels are in good shape. The windshield is cracked but the rest of the glass is in good condition. The interior is cloth seats and carpeted floors. The seats & floors are in overall good condition and are clean.. The headliner is in clean condition. The wheel chair ramp folds out without issue and is very easy to operate. There is some corrosion on the hinges in the bottom please inspect the pictures. I have included pictures of the seat belts for the wheelchair section -- I'm really not sure what is supposed to be there or if anything is missing, so please check them out. If you have any questions don't hesitate to call or email and I will try to figure them out ASAP. Check out the pictures - they speak for themselves! I have tried to capture both the positives and the flaws in those pictures. This is a good opportunity to bid for a no-reserve wheelchair accessible van with plenty of life left. I have tried my best to represent this vehicle accurately and to the best of my abilities. Earning and keeping a 100% positive feedback rating is very important to me! I purchase most of my vehicles as trade-ins from new car dealerships as traded. I test drive each vehicle at expressway speeds and around town for at least 20 miles, often over 100 miles, and use that experience to represent the vehicle to you on eBay. Please remember that you are buying a used vehicle and that a certain amount of wear/use/flaws are to be expected on any used vehicle -- including this one. You are welcome and encouraged to come check out this vehicle for yourself and take it for a test drive before the auction ends. I have included over 40 pictures - please check out them out. Feel free to email/call me (Michael) at 734-717-3653 with specific questions and I will do my best to answer them. Auction Details & Payment Information: The vehicle is for sale locally as well so auction can end at any time. Bid with confidence as I have represented the vehicle well. There will be a $125 documentation fee added on to each vehicle sold (including sales to other dealers). A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of the auction ending via paypal. The remaining balance will need to be paid within 7 days of the end of the auction by Cash or Cashier's Check. If you need financing, please have that arranged BEFORE the auction ends. Please only bid if you are 100% serious about buying this vehicle. This means you have a plan for shipping or picking up the vehicle and have the financial ability to pay for it. Due to high amounts of non-paying bidders recently, you must have a PayPal account associated with your eBay Account to bid on my auctions. Please make sure you have this, especially if you plan on waiting until the last hours to place a bid because it can take a while to set this up. Please do not take away someone else's opportunity to buy this vehicle by placing a bid without the full intention on purchasing it. Thank you! If you have any questions about this, please don't hesitate to call me at 734-717-3653. We are a licensed used vehicle dealer and must collect sales tax for all Ohio residents. If you are outside of Ohio, I also have to collect sales tax for the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, and South Carolina. There is a title fee of $15.00 and applies to all purchasers (Ohio and out-of-state). The title to the vehicle will have to be switched into you (or your company's) name and will be promptly mailed to you after purchase. The State of Ohio requires all purchasers (including out-of-state purchasers) to provide a SSN or EIN number to transfer title - if you do not have one you will need to show legal residency (i.e. HB1 or Student Visa). 45-Day temporary tags are available for purchase for $18.50 to all purchasers. These will allow you to legally drive the car until you can go to your local department of motor vehicle office. I recommend you purchase a temporary tag, but you are not required to. This vehicle sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied, including warranties for a particular purpose. I have done my best to represent the vehicle, but I don't notice everything. You are welcome and encouraged to pre-inspect the vehicle or send an agent to do so. If you wish to inspect the vehicle, please do so BEFORE bidding - the time to inspect the vehicle is not after you've already bought it. I am also happy to answer any specific questions that you have to the best of my ability. I don't know everything about each different model of car that I sell, but I try my best. In the description above, I have noted if the check engine light has been or is currently on. However, because we do not typically own the vehicle for very long, the check engine light may come on at some point after you leave. We have no state vehicle inspections in Ohio and it is not guaranteed to pass any required inspections for your state. Any New eBay bidders or those with zero feedback, please send us a message or give me call to confirm your contact information or your bid will be canceled. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping. We will work with your shipper to help them in any way we can. We are located in Swanton, OH - a small town in NW Ohio, just outside of Toledo.
