This fabulous Mini Cooper S (R53) is the most fun you will have in a car. She's guaranteed to make you smile. She was bulk standard until 6 months ago. I wanted to make her both pretty and quick. She now has blacked out trim all round. Tinted windows on sides and rear windows. She sits on 4 brand new Sparco Drift wheels 15 X 6.5. A little wider but smaller wheel. Why? The handling is fantastic, and the ride is so much smoother without giving up any performance value. She sticks to the road like glue and doesn't shake you over bumps. Oh, and they look awesome! I added 4 new 205/60R-15 Michelin Premier A/S SL tires. Some of the best tires Michelin makes. No road noise and great in all weather. The best tires I've ever experienced in the rain. The original wheels in great condition with almost new Michelin tires are a gimme to the new owner. Did I mention, she's quick? She looks quick standing still. Fire her up. She sounds great. Listen to the oversized DDMworks Air Intake suck the air into the engine as you drive. There are a number of - I'll call them "Daily Driver" performance upgrades made to her. These all combine in the most fun you'll have on the way to work and back. She can't wait to weave through the traffic searching for an open road. She is pure joy to drive. She's like a motorcycle on 4 wheels. I have never driven her hard, she's just pure fun. I bought this car for me and expected to keep her for some time. So, I invested the time and money to get her the way that she is. And now, I'm moving in a couple of months and can't take her with me. I researched all that goes wrong with R53 Mini Cooper S's and addressed all the inherent Mini issues so that she would give me trouble free motoring for years to come. Transmissions are the major problem for mini's because Mini said they were maintenance free. The problem was that the transmission oil broke down over time and caused havoc with the transmission. She now has a completely rebuilt transmission with about 2,000 miles on her. Whether you use the paddle shifters and drive in regular or sports mode - she drives like new. Everything on this Mini works as BMW intended it to. There are no warning lights or trouble codes.The interior is in great shape. The only sign of aging is on the side of the driver's seat. You can't help but catch it as you get in and out of a mini. The body work and paint are in good shape. There are a few minor stone chips on the front end, and the odd very tiny rust bubble under the paint in a few spots. The worst area is in a photograph of the rear passenger light corner. It's really not that bad - I'm just full on disclosure. There is no rust problem on this Mini Cooper S. Come take a look. Whether she's your first car or the car you wanted to treat yourself to for fun - you won't be disappointed. My 19-year-old daughter stole her from me when she could. She loved her!
