Vehicle Detail

1973 Honda CB750K Custom Urban Scrambler BuildWe recently completed this motor out/down to the bare frame restoration & customization of a 1973 Honda CB750K. We purchased the bike from a local guy who also happened to be an instructor at a well known Florida motorcycle mechanics institute - he was in the process of doing a light restoration when he had to sell the bike due to personal circumstances. He stated that he had gone through the bike and that the motor was fine (despite it not running at the time due to an electrical issue), the bike had around 30K original miles when we got her. We did a thorough carb cleaning and located the electrical issue (bad ground). She fired right-up, the motor runs good, tranny/clutch are also good ... a little of the normal clutch clatter these bikes are known for can be heard in the video. The clutch is a bit tougher than stock due to heavier springs installed by the previous owner. We recently completed an oil/filter change, full tune-up including synchronizing the carbs - she runs and goes down the road beautifully (check out the video). Both the electric starter and kick-starter function as they should (choke not needed in FL to fire her up), she has high-output Accel coils, 8.8mm Accel spark-plug wires and a Dyna Electronic Ignition. The seat is nicely hinged with a spring loaded latch (see photos) and the factory Honda tool kit is included under the seat. We fabricated a small rear rack to carry a small package or bag and just installed a bright LED fog/driving light on the right lower fork with three modes (bright/dimmer/flashing). The VIN# is CB750-2229539, Engine# is CB750E-2241447.All paint on the bike is two part urethane including the matte clear and the 650 degree satin black engine paint. The color is PPG Titanium/Mineral Gray with Hot Rod Satin Black rally-styled stripes. She is truly a fun and comfortable bike to ride with a traditional riding position, she has a nice rumble but not too loud and she just makes you feel great knowing you are riding a bike that was made more than 45 years ago and is still reliable as a daily rider! Keep in mind that the bike is 45 years old, with some normal wear on some of the original hardware still on the bike ... we did not build her to be a show bike, like all of our machines, she was built to ride ... every day if you prefer (which is what we prefer). Here is a partial list of the updated goodies you will find on her:- Honda CB500T gas tank w/Pingel bung welded in and new gas cap- Pingel style petcock (On/Off/Res) - new filter in the tank and on the fuel line- Handlebar controls/switches including clutch handle/perch- Front master cylinder w/stainless braided brake line- Motocross style steel footpegs- Biltwell Moto 7/8” handlebars- Biltwell Thruster Grips (chocolate)- 4 into 1 header with GP style stainless steel muffler (w/baffle)- LED bail/Brake light DRZ400 flush style- Seat latch from a Yamaha AT3- All-Balls fork seals with new Motul fork oil- Billet aluminum 47mm velocity stacks - Rubber fork gaiters- Dual element polished aluminum front turn signals- Polished aluminum rear turn signals- Emgo front fork tubes (2” shorter than stock)- Emgo fork dust seals- Rear remote reservoir adjustable shocks (from 4into1 in CA)- Mini speedometer and tachometer- Kenda Big Block aggressive dual sport front/rear tires- Aluminum headlight brackets- Polished stainless steel engine bolt kit- EK 530 SROZ2 sealed o-ring gold chain/master link- Tachometer cable- Choke cable- Push/pull throttle cables and throttle tube- 4 float bowl gaskets (carbs have 130 main jets)- Tarozzi Paolo chrome engine guard set- Rectangle convex/smoked mirrors- 30W Cree LED fog/driving light w/3 lighting modes- Marine grade brown vinyl custom upholstered seat- Honda CR mud flap- Marshall liquid filled oil pressure gauge (0-100 psi)- Oil pressure switchThere are several more photos and some added info. are available on our website noted below (click the link then scroll down to this bike and click on the photo): http://www.barebonerides.com/bbr-bikes.htmlWe have also posted a YouTube video showing a brief walk-around while she is fired-up along with a couple short clips of her going down the road:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIpoxQG6NBkCheck out our shop and our perspective on custom projects/builds at www.barebonerides.com ... as mentioned above, you can see more photos of this bike on the website. Our builds have been shipped throughout the US and to several countries around the world, several of which have been sold via ebay so bid with confidence. Several of our customers have come back to us for multiple projects! We like to build simple/clean/solid/functional bikes that should be ridden – they are not museum or show pieces; however, many of our bikes have taken trophies at local bike shows! They are definitely head turners and will get a lot of attention. We only run non-ethanol fuel in our bikes and we highly recommend to all of our friends/customers that they do the same, ESPECIALLY for carbureted bikes! We have gone over the bike thoroughly and she is ready to go … normal maintenance will be required (as is the case for ALL machines, both new and old).We ask that you contact us prior to bidding if you have less than 10 positive feedback scores or have a questionable ebay rating.Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We do have a clean Kentucky title in hand for this bike. Thanks for looking and feel free to share this auction with your friends! Please note that we are an official shop and if you are a Florida resident, we are obligated to process the title paperwork and collect 7% sales tax on the final auction price.
