Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1957 Chevy 3100. These trucks not only look good but are easy to work on. I have made a lot of improvements to make the truck a daily driver. Both the engine (original) and the clutch are strong. The three on the tree column shifter works smoothly. The stove bolt 6's are tough as nails. The following are upgrades made over the last couple of years: WORK COMPLETED: new chrome bumpers front and rear new chrome grill and light bezelsnew chrome mirrors and locking door handles inside and outnew chrome door and window handlesnew chrome LED brake lightsInstalled reverse light switch off column shifter and lights in rearfront disc brakes with new master cylinder (drums in back)New shocks installed front and back.electric windshield wipersNew Battery and cablesSwitched from a Regulator to an 110 amp alternator. I still have the regulator if wanted. The air filter originally was a wet filter using brake fluid as a way to trap dirt before it went into the engine. I converted the housing to accept a paper air filter maintaining the same housing and look.I adapted the original draft vent (simply a pipe that removes fumes at the bottom of the engine) to a positive crankcase valve (PCV) which helps the the engine breathe better.Wire brushed and undercoated entire frame and support brackets, some small rust areas found were repaired, rear anti-sway bay was installed and I have the front one ready to be installedsound proofing was installed on the cab floor and both doorsNew carpet installed on floor.3 point seat belts installed for driver and passenger, center seat belt is a lap beltnew window trim on both doors and front and rear windowthe interior paint and dash were cleaned up an painted tan and black. The seat was cleaned and the vinyl was stained blackThe bed is made of pine wood with the supporting brackets to hold them to the supporting frame. Wood was painted tan and the metal supports black. I believe the rear end is a 373 ratio which is a great option for an upgrade. ITEMS TO GO WITH TRUCK Wiring harness-- CompleteFront sway barextra brake assembly and master cylinderTools specific to the truck EXTERIOR Four new American Racing Rims and Cooper Cobra TiresThe exterior paint is originally Brewster Green, it is in decent shape, it has blemishes but it shines up nicely. I doubt that the paint is original but it matches the palate for the original. I have found a good match for the existing paint and have cleaned up and repainted some areas and they came out good. The body is in really good shape and it shines up nicely. I believe this truck is at a place where it could be used as a daily driver as it is now or a rat rod with a little work. You will enjoy driving it in either case.
