Vehicle Detail
Good farm truck. Third owner -- has been used as a farm truck for firewood, etc. last 4 years. Until then, used to travel one hour commute once a week. Runs good, if rather loud. Has issue with transmission shifting above second gear -- did not have this problem before use as farm truck, only noticed when took out on regular road. Did not press it further and has not been looked at. Runs wells 30mph and lower --- good for farm or hauling, not road use. Tires all good with some dry rot showing. Spare tire underneath appears in nice shape. Exhuast pipe got hooked on fence line and is held up now with strap. Small crack to windshield. Interior is dirty from wood chips / hay but not treated poorly and with a good vaccum/wipe down would be in nice shape. Tape deck I believe works / speakers are a little iffy. Sun roof and rear window needs manual help to close. Needs a new battery -- borrowed battery from mechanic and it ran great no problem. Current battery does not hold charge. I am not a mechanic so cannot promise there are issues I have not noticed but attest to truth of all statements above. It does run well and for a farm truck would be serviceable.\ Due to transmission/battery -- must be towed to new location. Must be picked up within one week of auction close -- available to meet between 10AM and 6PM almost any day. Any questions, please message. Thanks for looking. On Sep-20-18 at 14:24:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Due to lots of item interest and a question I am adding more info on transmission problem: I spoke to my mechanic who had seen the car but not inspected it thoroughly and he said that the transmissions seems serviceable as is for this vehicle in the first two gears. It has fluid so that is not the problem. If you are seeking to buy the car for parts, or hope to fix the transmission for road/highway use, the transmission probably needs a full rebuild and that would be very costly. For a farm truck or if you are purchasing the car for its other parts, it is probably a good buy. Once again, no one has looked at the transmission, but to make sure no one is an unhappy buyer, it is best to assume it does work for first and second gear, nothing more without putting strain on the transmission/vehicle, and assume it would be costly to fix. There is a chance it isn't, but that is not what I am advertising here or promising. Hope that answers your questions -- happy to answer any follow-ups.On Sep-21-18 at 11:50:03 PDT, seller added the following information: In case that last post was unclear: I spoke to my mechanic who had seen the car but not inspected it thoroughly and he said that the transmissions seems serviceable as is for this vehicle in the first two gears. It has fluid so lack of transmission fluid is not the problem. If you are seeking to buy the car for parts, or hope to fix the transmission for road/highway use, the transmission probably needs a full rebuild and that would be very costly. If you want the vehicle for a farm truck or if you are purchasing the car for its other parts, it is probably a good buy. Once again, no one has looked at the transmission, but to make sure no one is an unhappy buyer, it is best to assume the transmission does work for first and second gear, but nothing more without putting strain on the transmission/vehicle, and assume it would be costly to fix. There is a chance it isn't costly as no one has looked at it closely, but that is not what I am advertising here or promising --- best to assume it does not work outside of basic low gear farm usage and is costly to repair. Hope that is more clear -- happy to answer any follow-ups.
