Vehicle Detail
1995 Dodge Ram 3500 with the Cummins turbo diesel, extended cab, 2WD, automatic transmission that needs replaced. There is no reverse but it does have forward gears. I bought the truck with all intentions of replacing the transmission but found out it is more difficult finding one than anticipated. I drove the truck 50 miles and never had a huge issue with the transmission. It is your choice if you choose to drive it because it does have a bad transmission. During the time I drove it, I noticed the steering is a tad sloppy and it pulls to one side when braking. The engine ran flawlessly and sounds very strong. The turbo kicks in when it suppose to. I am guessing some type of work has been done to the engine because it runs so well with this many miles on the odometer. The interior is dirty, these are the things I did notice. A/C doesn't work, right electric window switch pushed inside the door panel when I was putting up the window, but it does work and just needs to be pulled back out, the sliding rear window center panel is plexiglass, the right side step was very loose because the bracket was about to come off so I pulled the piece off. I have that piece and needs a new bracket and reattached. The windshield has a crack on the right side, not in the line of drivers vision, the ignition switch works but is sloppy and needs replaced, Saw a new one on ebay for $20 shipped. The plastic piece around the ignition switch is off, but have both halfs, ashtray dash plastic is loose, I think I listed all the faults that I saw. There are probably a few others I didn't notice. This isn't a show truck but with the transmission replaced and some tinkering, would be one heck of a work truck. The tires look good, all the gauges work, it has a tool box/extended fuel tank in the bed, no key to lock it. There is minimal rust as you can see by the pictures. The underside and chassis is in very good shape. I tried to explain what I know about the truck. Inspections are welcome. Has a clear Indiana title.
