A new 4.0L biturbo V8 powers... the G 550. Generating 416hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, it can thrust you from 0-60 mph in seconds. The AMG G 63 is outfitted with a handcrafted 5.5L biturbo V8 making 563hp and 561 lb-ft of torque while the AMG G 65 comes with a powerful handcrafted 6.0L biturbo V-12 outputting 621hp and 738 lb-ft. The standard permanent all-wheel drive system continually sends power to all four wheels. Its 4-wheel Electronic Traction System instantly apportions torque to the wheels that can use it best. As you make your way off-road, three manually adjustable sequentially lockable differentials help maintain the ideal balance of torque and traction. Off-roading skills are the signature of the G-Class. It can climb an 80% grade (36 degrees of incline), and handle a 54% lateral slope (28.4 degrees of sideways tilt). DISTRONIC PLUS cruise control uses radar to adapt your speed to traffic flow, even stop-and-go. Blind Spot Assist, a rearview camera and PARKTRONIC help you sense your surroundings, for added safety. Using GPS technology and an 80GB hard drive to store maps, the COMAND system's high-resolution screen displays navigation info.
