1963 Impala 2 Door Hardtop (no post) Lowrider. Has Maryland clear title. 327 engine runs, drives & stops. Has 2 pump CC Hydraulics that work, has remote box with long cable. Straight body, no big dents, no rust holes in outer body. Car was Candy-apple red showcar in the year 2000. Rolled & pleated upholstery with chrome on dash. I bought recently but can't afford to keep. Last owner stripped to bare metal. I have a gallon of metallic red if you want it. Lower rockers solid & original, no rust holes in rear wheel houses. Needs right front floor pan, other 3 pans ok. Front brace ends need some repair, other 4 braces ok. Inner rockers ok. The windshield wiper motor works & I have the wiper arms which will go with the car. The center bearing of driveshaft was replaced with a newer style, more robust unit. The oil & filter were changed recently & the radiator was drained & filled with new antifreeze. The car won best paint in a local Maryland show in 1998.On Aug-17-18 at 00:32:33 PDT, seller added the following information: The Trunk upper lip drain channel by hinges is solid and looks good all the way around. The trunk bottom well is not all rusted thru, but needs cleaning. When looking at it from underneath I saw some scrapes/dents but no swiss cheese. The Left Front Inner Fenderwell is "New Old Stock" (NOS) Chevrolet & was surface rusted. I wire brushed & painted it & noticed it still had a white General Motors sticker on it. I didn't paint over the sticker, I painted around it. It's barely visible though, because it's on the inside. The seat covers could use a good cleaning. Also there are several small tears that I was going to try to fix with one of those vinyl repair kits on ebay. Then I was going to spray them black with vinyl paint. I think this would be presentable for cruise nights & small car shows. The car has a new carpet set installed. It is the correct "Loop Pile" style that these cars came with.The headliner has no rips & no holes, but is a bit low in the back, needs to be fastened there. I installed a set of Upper Ball Joint Spacers from Hop Shop Hydraulics in San Jose California. These reduce the front (bottom) of the car from scraping the ground & aid in proper alignment. The other way some folks go is extended front A-Arms. They help with alignment too but the ride height is lower at the proper alignment spec's & one tends to bottom out. Some guys like to ride low & don't care about the occasional scraping. I'm not into that, but if you are, these units are just bolted. I hadn't put the car on the road, so wasn't able to bring it to the alignment shop. Car will need control arm bushings prior to alignment. The car has door poppers but were not working when I got the car. I put on a left outer door handle temporarily & was going to take the set-up off, but you may want this feature. So I just purchased a new kit which will go with the car if you want it. The wheels are driver quality, would need plated for show judging.
