Vehicle Detail
Even if you're not into British sports cars, I guarantee you will love this absolutely stunning TR 6. This car received a full restoration some years back (I believe around 2010) to the tune of over $23000.00 The gentleman who had the car restored spared no expense and left no stones unturned. Unfortunately, the man passed away soon after the car was completed and never had a chance to enjoy his beloved TR 6. With that said he had the the original matching #'s engine and transmission completely rebuilt along with suspension, brakes etc. etc. you get the idea. The clean, accident and rust free body was treated to a very professional show quality paint finish in it's original Triumph white color. The paint was color sanded and buffed to a smooth and super high gloss show finish. The body is lasar straight with good gaps and still wears it's original sheet metal. The frame is totally rust free and immaculate, no 2" thick undercoating to hide any sins ! All chrome, glass and weatherstriping in excellent condition. The interior was completely refurbished in it's original and rare chestnut color. The combination of this shade of white with chestnut enhanced with new redline tires is just so rich looking. It's a beautiful and vintage " Gentleman's GT " look. The entire wood dash was replaced as was the seat cushions and vinyl coverings. New carpeting, sun visors and of course a new convertible top like the original with the reflective halo. The car also has the matching chestnut boot cover for when the top is folded down. She's not just a pretty face. The car is an excellent, safe and reliable driver as well. The new motor only has maybe a thousand or so miles and runs great. Does not use or leak oil, runs cool and has lots of torque. The car has upgraded K & N air filters, tube header and a stainless steel sport exhaust system all which add to a nice free breathing TR 6 with great sound. The clutch and transmission work as they should with smooth take off and slick shifting 4 speed. Although the car does not have an overdrive unit, she's very happy cruising along at 60-70 mph without any feeling of over-revving. I just had the clutch master and slave cylinders replaced along with a custom one piece copper hydraulic line (a leaky line was the reason for the change).I am sure I am forgetting some things so do not hesitate to contact me through Ebay for any questions or concerns. As beautiful as the car is please keep in mind that she is a 43 year old vintage classic and does get driven on a regular basis. Show quality for sure but not a trailer queen. I feel this TR 6 is as nice as you can get without being afraid to drive it.There are TR 6's priced higher and some lower but if you see and drive this one you will know immediately that she's priced right. The photos do not show the true quality build of this car and it needs nothing to drive and enjoy right now. For this auction: Car is sold in " as is condition " no warranty expressed nor implied. Inspection of the vehicle is highly recommended PRIOR TO AUCTION END. Shipping cost and handling is the sole responsibility of the new owner. I also reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time due to it being advertised locally as well. I am a long time Ebayer and try to be as honest as possible so this could be a Positive Transaction for all parties concerned. Please check my feedback profile. I apologise to all parties interested but I just can't seem to get any decent photos of the chassis. At 65 years old I cannot get under there like I used to. Please accept my honesty on this...the chassis is clean. No repairs or patch work, some dents here and there from 43 years of jacking her up. Could use some cleaning and spray paint if you plan on entering a judged car show. Also, I forgot to mention that the car has the tube shock conversion in the rear, and a spin on oil filter. The engine builder was smart enough to also add an oil cooler. Things that you can see in the photos are the wind wings, lucas tri bar headlights (repro) and my own design driving lights with chrome bullets to also look like original Lucas. A Mono Lita type steering wheel gives a nicer look and feel.
