1993 Honda Gold Wing GL 1500 Special Edition w/ Escapade SE Trailer - $3500 (Boalsburg) 1993 HONDA GOLD WING VIN: 1HFSC2242PA500408 condition: good engine displacement (CC): 1500 fuel: gas odometer: 103479 paint color: green title status: clean transmission: manual Up for sale is my 1993 Honda Gold Wing GL 1500 Special Edition with 103,479 miles, the motorcycle has a clean title and is in good condition. The gold wing is an excellent machine and is a true dream to ride. I have put over 1500 miles on this bike my self and I really hate to sell it, I just have too many motorcycles and I don't have the time to give this one the attention it deserves. The exterior of the Gold Wing shines well and the paint is in great shape for being 25 years old. It does have a few minor imperfections but still shows well. The chrome is in excellent condition and polishes up nicely. The seat has been recovered recently and I have an extra gray seat cover as well. Engine/Transmission: The 1500 engine runs great, idles properly and has no vacuums leaks. The motor pulls hard throughout the rpm range and has never been abused. The oil temp has always been above 140 degrees before being driven spiritedly. The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears and has always been serviced regularly. The clutch feels great and reverse gear really helps when backing up on an incline. The timing belt has be replaced at the local Honda Dealer and the 100k service was also done. The Gold Wing is incredibly well balanced and handles great through the turns. The suspension is quiet and comfortable on long distance trips. Extras include electronic cruise control and an onboard air compressor to adjust the rear suspension. The tires are in excellent shape and have plenty of life remaining. Both CB radio head sets come with the bike as well as full service manual and complete owners manual. Included with the sale of the Gold Wing is a matching Escapade trailer. Below is a sample advertisement for the model I am selling. The trailer it self is in great shape for its age with only minor blemishes. The shocks work great and the trailer locks all work. All of the lighters work and the side makers are functional. If you have any question please contact me through ebay. Here is a sample ad for the trailer when it was new. Escapade SE (1988-2000 Gold Wing) Starting at: $1,995.00 The Escapade SE was the first motorcycle cargo trailer designed to complement the style of one motorcycle, the Honda Goldwing GL-1500. The Escapade cargo trailer has earned its reputation as a well-engineered, well-built motorcycle trailer that pulls as good as it looks. All Escapade trailers share features that make them favored by so many riders. Unique integrated chassis design--trailer body and frame are molded together for lower center of gravity, increased rigidity and smoother airflow. Shocks designed by Progressive suspension--a special damping cartridge offers superior damping, even when the trailer is towed empty. Larger than average wheels--increased width makes more contact with the road and larger wheel diameter creates larger gyroscopic effect which help eliminate swaying tendencies. Tires are also standard size 4.80 x 12" wheels that can be easily replaced. Escapade trailer bodies are hand-made and custom finished at the factory. Each trailer body is painted with top-of-the-line urethane paints and clear coats with a 2-3 part paint process and 3 clear coats. For GL-1800 colors, Escapade uses the exact same paints and clears supplied to Honda. All Escapade trailers exceed the lighting requirements set by the U.S. Dept of Transportation. All lighting is connected to the bike's power supply. An optional spoiler with integrated brake light offers even greater visibility. Standard Features and Specs
