This auction is for a 2016 Ram 1500 regular cab long bed (8 foot bed) pickup finished in Bright Silver Metallic with the Diesel Grey Sedoso/Alloy cloth interior. It’s best to view the listing on a desktop or laptop computer. A smartphone won’t give you the same details. If you have been looking for a long bed pickup, you know how hard they can be to find these days. It seem like most pickups on the market are 4-door crew cab models with tiny 4 foot beds useful only for hauling a few bags of mulch back from Home Depot on the weekends. Just kidding, but you get the idea. The 8 foot bed was only available on regular cabs. This is a real truck meant to haul lots of stuff, but unlike most regular cabs which tend to be stripped base models with vinyl seats, rubber floors, steel wheels and hubcaps, painted bumpers and a black grill, this is a very well equipped truck. If you’re buying for personal use, you will appreciate all the comfort and convenience features it contains. From the premium cloth seats, full carpeting and all the power equipment like power windows, power door locks, remote keyless entry, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, 6 speaker stereo, etc., plus behind the seats storage for bringing home a weeks worth of groceries. If you're buying a truck for business, you know image is important, and nothing shows success more and gives a greater first impression than arriving at a customer’s location in a premium version company truck. With chrome bumpers, chrome grill, chrome door and tailgate handles and aluminum wheels, this Ram 1500 reflects the status you want to project. The truck is powered by a 305 horsepower 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine that has received numerous rave reviews by engineers and the automotive press for it’s high power output, excellent economy and inherent smoothness. It features an aluminum block and dual overhead cam (DOHC) 24-valve aluminum cylinder heads for light weight and excellent heat dissipation, VVT (Variable Valve Timing) for maximum power output at all engine speeds, multiport fuel injection for excellent gas mileage, coil on plug (COP) ignition for reliability in all environmental conditions and drive by wire electronic throttle for precise control of drivability parameters. This V6 engine has more power than most V8’s had just a few years ago, and will handle any task you give it while saving gas over a Hemi V8 every day you use it. The engine is mated to an 8-speed TorqueFlite® 845RE automatic transmission which shifts as smooth as a luxury car. This is a ZF Germany designed transmission built in the USA at Chrysler’s Indiana factories.  It’s controlled by a rotary dial on the dash that saves space over conventional column mounted or center console shift levers, and steering mounted controls lets you manually upshift or downshift. This transmission has low first and second gears that provides brisk acceleration, while the high top gears allows for effortless highway cruising and excellent gas mileage. In fact, at 60 mph the engine is turning at only 1,400 rpm, and at 75, just 1,700 rpm. You can average mid 20’s mpg overall when driven with restraint, and nearly 30 mpg on the highway. And it runs great on just regular gas and even E85 which can be over 25% cheaper than gasoline. Plus, this Ram is rated to tow over 7,000 pounds with this powertrain combination. It has a super straight body with no noticeable dings or blemishes. There has been some previous paint and bodywork done to the right side around the door area and bedside. The repairs were well done and you wouldn’t know there was any previous damage. It doesn’t look like there was any damage or repairs to the frame. The paint is beautiful and this Bright Silver Metallic color just about glows in the sunlight. It has just been cleaned with Meguiar’s Smooth Surface Clay System, polished with Meguiar’s Mirror Glaze cleaner polish, topped off with Meguiar’s Ultimate Synthetic Wax and then sealed with Meguiar’s Ultimate Fast Finish for a long lasting brilliant high gloss shine. Even both the front and also the backsides of the wheels have been cleaned and waxed! How obsessed is that? Ditto for the stainless steel exhaust tip. All the glass, moldings, trim and emblems are excellent. The interior is in great condition as well. It has excellent upholstery, carpet, headliner, dashboard and door panels with no cracks, rips or tears or any significant signs of wear. The truck doesn‘t appear to have been smoked in. In fact, it’s not even equipped with a lighter. The bed looks like it wasn’t used much and the engine compartment is clean enough to eat off of. Mechanically it runs and drives excellent. The engine starts instantly whether hot or cold and runs strong and feels smooth both at idle, while accelerating and throughout the cruising range. The transmission shifts smoothly. The steering wheel is on dead center going down the road with no shakes or vibrations at speed, the brakes are firm with no pedal pulsation or pulling to one side when stopping and the suspension is tight. The A/C blows ice cold. All four tires have excellent tread and have been balanced with balance weights mounted on the inside of the wheel for a super clean look. It has a full size spare tire that doesn’t look like it has ever been used. The truck comes with the balance of all manufacturers factory warranties including the 5 year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty, specific emissions components for 8 years/80,000 miles and outer panel rust perforation for 5 years unlimited miles. Spark plugs have a 100,000 mile service interval, the transmission fluid has a 120,000 mile service interval, coolant is changed every 10 years or 150,000 miles and the engine uses a timing chain and hydraulic valve lifters so there are no periodic timing belt changes or valve adjustments. Other than routine oil and filter changes, with all the above mentioned servicing the truck has recently received, you should be good to go to 100,000 miles before requiring major maintenance. Overall this is a super sharp pickup that looks absolutely fantastic in this Bright Silver color and all the chrome trim.
