1984 M1028/Chevrolet K30, 42k miles, 6.2 liter Detroit diesel w/ th400 transmission. Served faithfully in Desert Storm, Dana 60 front axle with aftermarket king pins - new upper and lower ball joints and new 4x4 u joints, 14bolt rearend with detroit locker and original 456 differential gears, Converted to 12v - push button glow plug start wire harness w/updated heavy duty glow plugs (On the wiring, only the starter and glow plugs are on an in-series 12v just as you would find on any new truck due to the fact that it makes especially winter starting easier and more reliable. The rest of the system is still on the 24v and the truck has the two batteries.), new sound dampner/heat shield on floor, doors and firewall, newish rubber floor pad, new seat (cloth instead of original vinyl), new door seals, good m/t tires 285/75 r16, new aluminum grill, newer shocks, newer chrome front bumper, newer chrome mirrors. Overload leaf spring. Semi truck heavy duty toolbox in bed. With or without camper shell as it is old; your choice. Goes anywhere, true 4x4, starts every time. Well taken care off, driven daily through all weather including prairie blizzards. Everything works as it should, typical small amount of rusting on rear of both rear fender wells but solid elsewhere (as paint was worn from rockers, they were just sanded down and repainted...there may be water droplets visible in some pics particularly on the new paint as truck was wet from washing is all). This is a truck that, if taken care of will likely outlast, out 4x4 and pull newer ones.I have all of the maintenance records from the time I purchased it in 2013 to present as well as an original owners manual.
