Those will remain in the car until the day this car is sold or until I buy a new car (whichever comes first) as I still use this car regularly with my toddler. The car has leather seats so when the car seat comes out, there may be some compression marks in the leather but I’d think it’d go back into shape after a while. Mileage just hit 172,000 but I'm still driving it until I sell it.This car still has that tight BMW drive. Handles the great on the road. Also handles well in snow/rain being all wheel drive. Body is still in good shape. Some scuffs under front bumper/scratch on side but nothing that has made me uncomfortable to drive around in it. I’ve owned this car since 2010 and never got into an actual accident with it although I did scratch the side on a mailbox. My friend has maintained this car for me throughout the years. He’s a mechanic at a shop in Bergen County, NJ. If you want to continue to bring it there, I can give the final buyer his shop info. He’s not a BMW certified mechanic but has experience working on all different cars and has saved me a lot of money over the years instead of going through the dealer. However, since he’s not a certified BMW dealer and doesn’t have all their equipment, there are some surface things he can’t do (like erase some codes that have shown up on the dashboard) even though they aren’t causing any problems. Currently the couple codes on there (airbags, seatbelt, brakes). The brake code just showed up while he was replacing the brakes this Spring. He’s re-assured me that all is fine and all of the above-mentioned work.I’ve had no reason to think otherwise. My brakes, seat belts all work fine… never had to test the air bags (thank goodness). Maybe for peace of your own mind, get it checked out but I have no reason to think they wouldn’t work. Tire pressure code has been on there since I bought the car!Being over 10 yrs old, there are some nuisance things to learn about the car:-Side view mirrors recently have a mind of their own. I re-adjust them everyday lately. If I were to keep this car, I’d have the fuse disconnected on the power side view mirrors. This issue has happened before and somehow resolved itself in the past. If it continues much longer and I kept the car, I’d get it fixed or remove the power connection to it.-Windshield wipers have only EVER worked for me on fast or on rain sensor mode. I have always used it that way since I bought the car in 2010. They do jam up from time to time but always start working again.-I did FIX a windshield washer fluid leak a year or so ago, however, I think it’s back because I have to put washer fluid in about once every month or so. -There’s probably an extraordinary slow oil leak although I never find oil in my driveway. So I’ve lived with it forever. However, I think there’s a super slow leak just because the oil light pops on every few months and we just put a quart of oil in it (note: you have to use high quality oil in these cars). If it’s not a leak then the car is just burning oil every few months. It’s been doing this to me for years. So I wouldn’t look at it as a big concern because it’s never turned into anything bigger than that.-Tires are new (just a few months old) but needs air sometimes. Maybe the rim needs an adjustment.. but not sure.-Lastly, there’s a very slow power drain. If I drive it daily or a lot in a week it’s fine but if the car sits for a couple of days without starting there’s a chance, the battery will drain. The battery is NEW and I’m suspicious the drain may be coming from the power side view mirrors. I’ve decided to sell instead of fix the above and just buy a new car as I’m ready for an SUV anyway.
