If you are in the market for an ultra clean optioned GLS B5.5 TDI wagon you probably know these are getting very hard to find, especially in this condition. These powerful and ultra efficient turbo diesel engines are known to see a half million miles &@ 220000 miles the engine still runs like brand new. It has been upgraded including the European oil pump gear drive conversion. recent timing belt/water pump, radiator, all new belts & idle pulley Front and rear struts. The transmission has had regular service. It recently set a CEL po741 code but after reset has not returned and drives down the road with out issue. The transmission shop ran a very detailed breakdown diagnostic and concluded the one time code was set by a slight valve body pressure fluxuation. They recommended a fluid change but a valve body swap at worst would fix it. Their input was since this car has never been driven hard, regularly serviced but is almost due, most likely a fluid change is all that's needed. I've also considered a 5 or 6 speed swap, quit doable and the perfect TDI for this. It came with the top factory amplified sound system (monsoon). I prefer all factory original parts generally but I did upgrade and invested $2k into THE top Kenwood unit w/ remote (2014 DNN992 Ecselon), and it was well worth it! It has a easy to use touch 7" screen, internet capable, both front and rear cameras, DVD, H.D. tuner, Sirius XM, Garmin GPS, with 2 dash mounted usb ports and 1 HDMI connection. Imagine email or google searching on a long trip. This has all the capabilities of a P.C. & H.D. T.V.!
