Vehicle Detail
A gorgeous piece of German engineering... All wheel drive, turbo, has every option you can think of! Heated leather seats and steering wheel, Sirius Stereo with built in CD recorder that stores over 250 CD's, 12 way power seats....EVERYTHING. New Michelin 150 mph tires with less than 3000 miles on them. Fresh synthetic oil/filter change. Almost flawless inside and out. Now the bad news....during the oil change it developed a tick in the motor. Still runs and drives without a miss in the engine. In the last year it has gotten a water pump, new valve cover and fuel injectors and had the filter housing rebuilt. If you are a mechanic and can fix or replace the engine, the chassis & interior is almost flawless with very minor wear. Original sticker on this car 8 years ago was $66,000! You don't drive this car, you strap in on!!!! More On Jun-29-18 at 06:22:53 PDT, seller added the following information: There have been a couple questions as to how the "tick" happened. The car was taken in for a oil change to a local shop which has changed the oil many times. (The owner has 2 BMW's) Somehow, and I have suspicions, it started while at their shop. The car was trailered back to my house where I had 2 different independent mechanics come look at it. Both simply listened (no disassembly) and were of the opinion that somehow a rod bearing has spun. My wife had just taken a 500+ mile trip and the car had ran perfectly before the oil change. The car runs and drives (I move it around) but in my opinion, if bought, it would need to be trailered away for close inspection repair. No one has disassembled anything in an attempt to determine what exactly the problem may be. I live in a small community and the nearest BMW dealer is an hour away.
