THIS PICKUP IS A OLDER FRAME OFF RESTORATION. IT WAS TAKEN APART, THINGS UPDATED, REBUILT, REPAINTED, ETC. 1958 Chevrolet Pickup Truck 3100 1/2 ton. This pickup started out with a super nice original pickup. It was taken apart, things updated, repainted, rebuilt, etc. During the process a few upgrades were made. It has a 1974 Nova front clip. Which means you have power steering, power disc brakes (on the front), and a modern suspension. It drives like a dream. The motor is a very healthy 400 small block chevy and a 700R transmission. The rearend is a Ford 9" with middle gears. Its fun to drive around town and will cruise at highway speeds all day long. Gets excellent fuel economy for those long drives. The steering column is from a 1974 1/2 ton pickup. It is a tilt wheel, so getting in and out of the truck is very easy. The interior is all new, seat cover, carpet, etc. The body was all set to be painted, but the mistake of putting it all together and taking it to a car show was made, It was so much fun it was decided to leave it as is. Old cars were meant to be driven, meant to make memories in. Take the kids to a drive in movie or down the street to the dairy queen. I have vehicles that are so perfect you sit and guard your car when your at a car show so nobody breathes on it, those cars aren't fun. Your always worrying about getting a scratch, they end up leaking and things going wrong because you never drive them, etc . This here you can drive it, if you get a rock chip, sure it sucks, but it doesn't ruin your day, if your grandson drops his ice cream cone on the carpet, you aren't so mad that he never wants to sit in your truck again, and eventually if you decide you want to make it shiny you can always paint it. This truck shares the same great body as the 1955, 1956, and 1957 Chevy trucks, but is a little more unique. Not as common to see a 1958 at a car show as the others. Plus it is a short box stepside, so it is about as desirable as you can get. This truck is a deal, its worth much more then I'm asking. I'm losing storage, my loss is your gain.
