Vehicle Detail
This is a 1947 Buick Roadmaster that I started restoring, sort of. It runs well and everything works on the car, gauges, lights, turn signals and wipers, I had the speedometer rebuilt about 4 months ago and that's the mileage that I've put on it since, it is a true survivor. The engine runs very well and I'm thinking that someone must have rebuilt it at one point, it doesn't smoke and sounds fantastic. It does however leak a little oil but I bought new oil pan, tappet cover and valve cover gaskets but haven't gotten around to putting them on. The radio was out of the car when I purchased it and I was going to make sure it worked before re-installing it. It has many new parts that I've put on including new brakes and I rebuilt the rear wheel cylinders and replaced the front with new and I rebuilt master cylinder. It has new king pins, a new battery and I had the front seat re-stitched and rebuilt but all of the interior fabric is original. The floors are solid with no rust but the trunk spare tire well has a little rust through, not bad but the one in the parts car is solid. Originally there are 4 holes with rubber plugs. The tires have less than 500 miles on them. I have numerous extra parts, too many to list at this time but everything will go with the car. The car really drives pretty nice.I'll be glad to answer any questions. One of my replies to a question;Yes, everything goes with the car and I have tons of other parts that aren't in the pictures. I bought a parts car to get a lot of the things that I wanted and I'm giving everything to the person who buys the car and I'll keep what they don't want. I drive the car all of the time, it can sit for a week and it starts right up. I think I've only had it up to around 65 on the highway, I like to take it easy on the old girl :-). The car runs cool no matter how hot the temperature outside. All of the pictures with the exception of the first two were taken this morning, 6/26/2018, the body parts on the floor are really nicer than what's on the car. The ones on the car either have some rust or, are dented.I'm updating this ad constantly as I think of other things of interest. Thanks For Looking!
