Vehicle Detail

1970 'CUDA 340 4-SPEED Offered for the first time ever, a 1 family owned FC7 Plum Crazy Purple - 1970 Plymouth 340 'CUDA with 4-speed Transmission. Arguably one of the most collectable small block Mopars next to the T/A Challenger and AAR Cuda. And with a Scheduled Production Date (SPD) of July 30th 1970 (last DAY that 1970 model cars were produced) this could very well be the last 'CUDA made in 1970. I bought this rare Mopar from an estate back in February, and based on the information I have, the car has been sitting since 1988. I have pictures of the car when I first found it. Virtually rust free and is all matching numbers including build sheet and tags. After 3 decades of hibernation, the motor was awakened using all the standard precautionary techniques. After replacing all of the maintenance parts and giving the motor a good detailing, she now fires right up and runs smoothly. It was so cool to see all of the factory gauges slowly swing to the right and park right where they should. Even the tach works. Engine does not smoke or make any funny noises. Brake system was also refurbished and now the car is road worthy. Trans shifts smoothly through all the gears with no problems. The car came from the factory with FC7 Plum Crazy purple paint but was repainted a darker blue at some point in the early 80s. The paint is weathered and in fair condition with patina, but the body is rock solid and appears to be wearing all of its original sheet metal. Near rust free body with a couple of eraser sized bubbles starting at the very bottom of the rear lower quarters. The prior owner had glued carpeting to the trunk floor , and must have trapped some moisture which caused some pitting but there are no holes and the trunk pan is very solid otherwise. This car has A LOT going for it. ALL NUMBERS MATCHING including engine stamping, trans stamping, fender tag, door decal, dash tag, and both body stampings. I also have a near perfect build sheet along with original registration documents dating back to 1976. This rare fish also came from the factory with 15" Rallye Wheels and Raised White Letter Goodyear Polyglas Tires (very rare on a 340), Factory Rallye Dash with full instrumentation including 8,000 RPM Tachometer, Hurst 4-Speed Transmission, 3:55 Sure Grip Rear, Road Lamps, Hood Pins, A01 Light group, Power Front Disc Brakes, front and rear sway bars, and a lot more. The vintage aftermarket 8-track radio works great, but I don't have the original radio or stock exhaust manifolds. Car also comes with the vintage set of Keystone Classics it was wearing when the car was discovered, but I have a reproduction set of 15 x 7 Rallyes which I will offer to the winning bidder for a minimal fee. Car has a clear title in my name. Please note the car is being sold in "AS-IS" condition. A non-refundable $500 deposit is due immediately after the auction has ended and the balance is due within 7 days unless other arrangements are made. Car is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I will help in anyway I can from this end. Please check my 100% positive feedback as I have sold many high end mopars, all of which have found homes with very happy new owners.
