For Sale By Owner: I rode frequently until 2nd gear stopped working again (I had the transmission rebuilt at the 5 year point for the same problem which was common on early models of this bike. It has been fixed on all models after 2012). When the transmission went out the engine overheated and it has been parked for 6 months. I turn the engine monthly (I do not start it). The fuel system needs cleaned, engine and transmission both need rebuilt. (Red Hills Powersports of Tallahassee says they can rebuild both for $4000). If you want to put this back on the road it will need one turn signal, new handle grips, engine & trans rebuild and I would replace the chrome plated plastic engine covers - the chrome is wrinkled / visible in photos. The original exhaust has been replaced but the original exhaust modulator is still installed. When it goes bad you get a check engine light. There is an inexpensive aftermarket bypass available. Everything else is in great shape and the rubber is good and the hardcover, color matched replacement for the removable rear seat is included. If you choose to sell it for parts it is worth approx. $3500 - $4000.
