Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1970 CB750 Honda KO. This bike has been restored, engine rebuilt with all new cables, battery, tires, tubes & spokes. The instruments are from a different KO so the mileage is incorrect. This bike has less than 100 miles since restoration, it was built as a project to sell. The carburetors are completely rebuilt with new carb kits & orings. All switches & wiring along with the handlebars are new. The fenders have been re-chromed. The pipes are brand new "Yamiya" pipes. All the aluminum has been professionally polished. The forks have new seals & rubber boots. The candy red paint was professionally done by a well know painter out of Long Beach, California. The frame & all black parts including the battery box have been powder coated with the VIN plate preserved. The Engine # is 1021950 and yes I know, the engine is not the original engine but it is an earlier KO engine, the original had been destroyed & I wasn't going to look for years for an engine with a closer #. This bike runs beautiful, starts right up & yes the carbs are set up perfect & synchronized right on the money. The seat is a genuine Honda K1 seat which is the only genuine available for the KO. Yamiya offers a good looking replica seat for the KO but they are about $650 with shipping. Both instrument work well but were not restored, would have done them to but the guy is backed up for 2 months. If you want the contact information for eventually having the instruments restored I will give it to you, he is slow but very good. The engine cases were split rods off crank & tranny out & completely apart. All seals & gaskets were replaced. The head was rebuilt, decarboned with all the valves lapped in perfectly for a good seal & all four intake valve guide seals replaced, as you well know the exhaust valve guides on the early models did not have seals. There is no reserve & the starting price is very reasonable. This bike cost over $7000 in parts & original cost of the bike. I have built over 50 750 restorations in my life & worked as a mechanic/service manager for many years and I'm retired now & do this for fun.
