For sale is my 1964 Ford Falcon Ranchero. This is the 1st generation of the Ranchero, made with the slightly larger Falcon body which makes it a most useful little truck. This car shows 23,800 miles, but is sold miles exempt due to age and I am sure it has turned over once. It has its original 260 V8, and the C4 automatic transmission, which shifts so smoothly that you would swear it is a two-speed, but it is the three-speed C4. The engine and transmission are in exceptional (I think) condition for their age and run very well, showing no slippage or missing. The engine runs very cool even in the Texas heat, never overheating even in traffic. The truck has power steering. The interior was palomino from the factory, and I have located and installed an original NOS palomino seat cover for the car. The door cards are yet to be changed back to original and I don't think I will get it done before it sells. I have a brand new Mustang GT dash for the car which will go with it, uninstalled, but it is a direct fit for the Falcon dash and adds a lot more class to the car. It is an easy fit. The car has new American Mags and excellent tires in 15" and they fit and look really great, in my opinion. The original 13" wheels and hubcaps can go with the car if the new owner so desires. I just didn't like the look of them. The 15's fit perfectly with no rubbing of any kind. The car is the original color and has been painted once. The paint is in very good condition and the car shows just like its pictures. There is no rust on the car with the exception of minor spotting which does not show in pictures, and it's only surface imperfection as the car was a Colorado car and was dry for decades. The car is very dependable and I use it as a daily driver back and forth to work as I just like driving it. It lacks AC, so I can't really enjoy it for the summer in Houston heat, so I am letting it go rather than park it until Fall. The original radio still works, as do all the electrics and the heater/defroster. The gas gauge is not accurate showing 1/2 full when full and then going down corespondently as the tank empties. I just fill it up every 250-300 miles and it works fine. All in all, an excellent truck ready to give faithful service to its new owner. I have driven it over 4,000 miles this year with no troubles of any kind. It has new brakes, new front suspension (ready to be installed - goes with the car), power steering, good drum brakes and a friendly and willing disposition. Always starts right up and the transmission shop assusred me it was the original engine and transmission, but I never checked the numbers. It's just such an honest car that I doubt there have been any drivetrain changes over the years. Willing to consider close offers, but this truck is worth much more than I am asking. PayPal for deposit and wire transfer or cash for the balance. You can send a cashier's check and once cleared, you can pickup the car. There are lots of funny checks around so wire or cash is preferred for a smooth transfer. The Ford warranty ran out in 1964 -- 90 days after original purchase, and 54 years later I am not offering a warranty. We all know how this works and the car is sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, but you have my word it's an exceptional and reliable car.
