Thanks for looking at my 1998 Civic Hatchback. I am the second adult owner of this excellent vehicle which has spent its entire life in NC. The pictures truly speak for themselves! The original owner was a retired USMC mechanic and AutoZone manager who took extreme care of this vehicle (as seen in is the maintenance log photos). No matter how small the matter (such as the new hatch struts installed), if there was something that needed replacing, the previous owner wasted no time. I purchased this vehicle in December of 2016 and immediately did what every good Honda owner does and completed a premium timing belt service using genuine Honda parts (see service photo). A common problem with these vehicles is the failure of speedometer. To protect the integrity of this vehicle, as soon as this one failed I had the cluster professionally swapped with mileage annotated at an official Honda Service Center (shown in photos). This vehicle did have paint service done as well as a new front bumper in 2013 due to a little fender bender but as noted in carfax and auto check it was minor. As noted by the photo with the digital thermometer, this hatchback's A/C will force you to turn the fan setting lower as it will freeze you out, the heater will also have you sweating bullets! I just had this vehicle serviced and completely inspected and the red rocket passed with flying colors (as seen in photos), the item needing immediate attention (Front O2 sensor) was replaced. This is the chance to own a prime example of an adult owned, unmolested, non modified, rare 1998 Civic Hatchback with the coveted 5 speed transmission. This puppy has plenty of get up and go, drives straight as an arrow, and due to the meticulous care has MANY more years and miles of driving ahead of her. This hatchback has been a joy to drive and for my daily commute has averaged between 35 and 38mpg. However, with four vehicles and a growing family, it is time to part ways. Local test drives are encouraged. I can also take videos of this vehicles handling and smooth driving at highway speeds and email them to serious inquiries.
