Low Mileage 2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ 60th Anniversary Edition - Original Equipment - Never Off-roaded, Lifted, or Modified. Clean title in hand. Selling my 2001 Cherokee XJ. Purchased in 2014 and has mostly been a second vehicle in that time. Driven highway miles and / or around town on the weekends. Engine runs strong and has never given me any issues. Could absolutely be a daily driver if needed. Here is what I know about the vehicle being as transparent as possible. Happy to answer any other questions the best I can. The Good: - The legendary 4.0 Liter inline 6. If You are looking at this listing You probably know this engine's reputation. It runs great and has never given me any issues. Oil has been changed regularly since I have owned the vehicle. - Low mileage, under 100K on the clock. - Clean Interior - Non-smoker, no stains or smells, cloth seats are in great shape - This vehicle is adult owned. It has never been lifted or modified. All work has been done by professional mechanics. Work done on the vehicle during my ownership by top rated professional mechanics: - Brakes on all four corners fully re-done in 2017. Removed and replaced all brakes including calipers, wheel cylinders, and brake lines. Brakes are better than new. - New Alternator and battery in 2015. - New power steering pump and power steeling pulley in 2014. - New water pump in 2014 - New Thermostat, Gasket Set, and Coolant bottle in 2014 - New Dana 30 Axle Joint package in 2014 The Bad / Ugly: - The check engine light is currently on. It has been coming on and going off intermittently. - This is a 17 year old Jeep that has lived in New England so yes there is rust. There is no significant body rot that I am aware of, rocker panels and floors are solid. The underbody components are all rusty. Removing / replacing components is probably going to take some serious WD40. - The paint is good from far but far from good. It looks good from a distance but is starting to flake on the hood and on top of the roof. (see photo) - The windows can only be lowered / raised by the driver (may also go in the Good category depending on your passengers). I think this is an issue with the parental control not working but have never bothered to fix it. - AC does not blow cold - Windshield wiper fluid is not spraying. It does not seem to be leaking so maybe just blocked up. - There is a small tear in the side of the driver seat (see photo). - Shifting into 4WD is more difficult than it used to be. It takes a good yank to move the lever but it will switch on and works well. - The tires will need to be replaced in the near future. The vehicle is sold as is / where is with no warranties given or implied.
