HONDA VCD (SHADOW) - CUSTOM BOBBERNO RESERVE ** NO RESERVETAKE IT!!!!!! You are looking at my 1999 customized Honda VCD Shadow. This is a very unique bike which looks and sounds incredible. I cannot ride without getting stopped or people staring or asking questions, etc. It is a beast. The best part of this bobber is that it's a Honda - which means it starts up every single damn time. Pull the choke out and press the custom red ignition button - - reliable and mechanically sound. I purchased this bike because I have no idea how to maintain a motorcycle, but wanted an old unique bobber feel without worrying about if the bike would start, have issues, etc ---- I researched and finally found this and must say, it has met my expectations and beyond. I have changed all fluids for the few years I've had it - every year in the spring while additionally having the mechanics do a thorough overview each time. Everything is solid. Just so you know, I am a 46 year old with a wife and 2 daughters so it was really important to me to make sure all was perfect. I only rode the bike 8 miles each way to work. Other than this commute, local neighborhood stuff was my other enjoyment. Please read the rest very carefully as I want the buyer to fully understand. This is a custom bobber rigid structure. Back frame has been cut. There is a cast iron single seat with no shocks - you get the point? It looks freakin' incredible but it is not meant for cross country riding. It's a ton of fun! People have used the word "rat bike" as well. It is definitely a showpiece that runs like a monster. There is a Jose Cuervo overflow as you can see. It holds the antifreeze and works fine - however, it was more about the custom look. Whitewall tires with nice chrome spokes make a very attractive wheel set against the rigid frame and hard look. Chopped off rear fender exposes rear tire for an additional extreme look. No leaks, no issues. Very kool exposed battery - again, all about the style. There is no:speedometerodometerfuel displayrear fendergear display (except neutral - green light shows neutral)How many miles are on the bike? I listed it having 3K. I personally did not even put 350 miles on it. I rode it sparingly. Similar story was told to me by previous owner. But being transparent, I have no idea of the true miles - then again, it is a Honda, speaking of which there are only a couple of areas where it says Honda. You cannot really tell what type of bike it is. Most people have no clue. Please be advised, the bike has a tough look, rat style. It is not pristine obviously. The imperfections over the course of time gives it an additional weathered look. Please see the pictures. Title is clear and in hand.Ignition key opens the gas tank.Headlight - perfect. Only known issue - small light on license plate holder always came on when bike was turned on. It's not coming on - I can't fix it and I'm not riding it to mechanic so please be aware. I'm sure a wire is loose or something of that nature. Why am I selling it?There are several reasons which include:I'm not riding it much, I can use the money if I'm not really going to ride it, I'm getting a bit older and honestly I'm a bit out of shape - it's not the most comfortable ride. I drove to to work once last week and realized I prefer to just take my Honda Civic. Unfortunately I believe my riding days are over. I also have a set of control extenders that I was going to put on so my legs can stretch out a few more inches. It wasn't that important but I guess I felt like blowing $300.00 at the time. My rating feedback on Ebay is 100%. I'm not trying to screw anyone here - I'm being totally honest. Bottom line - it's a head turner, custom bobber that actually works!!! There's NO RESERVE but I started the selling price at $2,500.00. I hope to fetch more but I will let it go for this price if that's what it is.
