Fully serviced and have documents and misc records available. For anyone who is wondering THIS CAR IS AT A COLLECTOR/CLASSIC CAR DEALER AND IS BEING OFFERED ONLINE BY THEM AS WELL ON CONSIGNMENT! (see other ebay advertisement) DESCRIPTION: Up for sale is My 1954 HUDSON HORNET 7X Convertible. I purchased this car in late 2014 from a gentleman who has had it for the past 43-46 years. The reason I purchased the car was because of its condition, its rarity, and history. This is NOT a common car. I have sold this car a few times but unfortunately due to lack of seriousness from buying parties and trumps export policies I have been unsuccessful at completing the sale. The car is GORGEOUS. It has been restored fully, maintaining the original parts and originality as much as possible. The miles are approximately 4,489 SINCE RESTORATION. This car comes with miscellaneous documentation and service records as well as literature which I posses. It has a clean clear title in my name. It has been tuned and the engine has been verified! I am a motivated seller. Ask any and all questions thank you (845) 987 9267 BODY: The body on this Hudson is EXCELLENT. There is NO RUST no wavy panels NO plaster/plastic or paint problems. The metal is straight and true. There are a few dings on the stainless steel moldings along the side of the car since those are original and true to the car, nothing major. There are no major scratches except under the drivers door (rocker panel) and one by the passenger lower quarter Will be repaired for the right buyer. There are no other issues. The car was repainted during restoration in 1998 and is NAVY BLUE (not black) its the same OEM color as the FABULOUS HORNET EVERONE KNOWS. The top color is also a bit darker and has a glass rear window now instead of plastic. the chrome is PERFECT there are no issues with any of the emblems or badges all parts are original and restored. UNDERCARRIAGE: There IS NO RUST!!!!! floors and quarters and all parts of the car are rust free. There are no leaks or issues, no broken or missing pieces. The under carriage also has been painted and undercoated (previous owner). All of the lines, hoses, and components clean and rust free. The condition is Exactly what to expect from a car with that has been kept original and restored. The frame is solid and clean, the engine and transmission are nicely painted. ENGINE: The engine is 7X!!!!!!! It has aluminum heads and has all of the reinforced internals (verified). The engine has a casting number of CASTING #304-539 CWC-4. The engine has good compression on all cylinders and is tuned. The carburetors are tuned as well (both). The car has Air conditioning (not original) which was added and works very well! It has a custom bracket made to attach the compressor and the Condenser and all of the hoses and interior parts installed professionaly including the under dash set up. The engine has all new components and was REBUILT when the car was in 1998, 4K miles ago. It starts right up every time and it runs beautifully. TRANSMISSION: The transmission has new oils. Shifts perfectly and smoothly, I have adjusted the shift points and it is working perfectly. HYRDAMATIC transmission with over drive. REBUILT along with engine. REAR END: No leaks, oils topped off and checked. No noises or vibrations. SUSPENSION: All suspension is up to par, I will be doing an alignment shortly but everything is up to date. BRAKES/TIRES: The brakes work perfectly TIRES ARE NEW. (all 4 white walls). Has DISC brakes (power assist) in the front. Its not original to the car but substantially improves stopping power. Electrical: All electronic systems are functional. The car has been converted to work with 12Volt. The lights are all 100% functional, and all the gauges work except for the temperature gauge (theres an aftermarket one under the dash). Oil pressure, Volts, Speedo, Odo, GAS gauges are all fully functional. The stereo system of the car is great! It has the factory original AM radio that has been converted to operate with FM. (does not affect originality). There are also hidden speakers under the seats and in the dash which provide great sound and does not take away from the cars original look and value. WIPERS are vacuum operated, work perfectly, all blower motor functions work well. HEAT AND A/C work 100% HYDRAULIC: All hydraulic windows and power top (hydraulic driven) are working excellent! there are no leaks or issues with the cylinders functions or lines. Convertible top: There are no rips no stains on the top. Its a high quality replacement with GLASS rear window. It also has solid convertible frame, and the tonneau cover is clean and original (leather) everything 100% INTERIOR: The leather is EXCELLENT. There are no rips no stains. The drivers seat is the only seat that shows wear IF ANY. . the leather is plush and has been cared for regularly. The carpets are stain and damage free however they are original and a little worn but in excellent shape. They are clean and plush The door panels are original and excellent. All of the chrome and moldings are in excellent condition no pitting or corrosion anywhere. Extremely nice for an original condition original part restored car. Ive had many people ask me why the hudson did not sell prior, and why it was "sold" but its back on eBay. The first time it sold, it was for 75K. It sold to a guy in NYC who came and looked at it but then had to confront his wife about it ( I Should have negotiated with her first). The second time it sold was for 68K to a Gentleman in NORWAY. UNFORTUNATELY there was an issue with export regulations due to changes in the way customs deals with cars older than 40 years of age on his part and trumps regulation changes. The Third time it sold for 60K here on eBay and the gentleman won the auction not having liquidity of the full amount. Now the car is at a high end and exotic/collector auto dealership on consignment after they asked me multiple times to give them permission to sell on my behalf free of charge and with commission. Ultimately, this was them making promises only to find out they just want to finance my car to myself. I NEED A BUYER.... NOT SOMENE WHO PLAYS GAMES.
