For sale by original owner. I leased this Tahoe for 3 years and then I purchased it from GM. I special ordered this Tahoe while I was the shop foreman / asst. service manager at Courtesy Chevrolet. I ordered the LT package with sport fender flares / Z71 Off Road package with rear locking differential / heavy duty trailering equipment. I also installed a GM security system .Three years ago I upgraded the wheels with new 18 inch wheels off a 2014 Chevy truck and new Goodyear Wranglers 265/65/18 tires. Tires have about 10,000 miles on them now. The odometer just hit 97,000 actual miles and has been driven everyday and NEVER garaged. I drove it the first 4 years and then turned it over to my wife who has always referred to it as her " Baby". For the past 15 years she pretty much worked 7 days a week and we only live 4 miles from her work so for several years we only put 1000-1500 miles a year on the odometer. I have always changed the oil & filter and serviced the Tahoe twice a year regardless of the mileage. 5w30 Penzoil with AC oil filter. Three years ago I took the Tahoe back from my wife and have been working on restoring it back to as NEW condition as possible. I have replaced the following parts with NEW OEM ( when available) parts in the past year...cruise control / wiper switch / starter / front rotors and pads / cleaned and adjusted rear shoes (approx. 50% rear shoe wear) / radiator / rear axle pinion seal / fuel filter also had fuel injectors cleaned / flushed cooling system and had transmission serviced. As I stated this Tahoe has NEVER been garaged and the paint on the hood and roof had faded due to the summer heat.The original hood had a few places that would require some fixing so I ordered a new GM hood and Tarr Chevrolet painted the new hood / roof / fender flares and the panels above the rear brake lights. I hate to break factory paint but it had to be done and Tarr did a EXCELLENT job.I have also replaced everything else the sun faded including ... front bumper trim / headlights / hood bug shield / wiper arms and blades including rear wiper arm and blade /exterior rear view mirrors / re-tinted front door glass and windshield strip ( rest of glass is factory tinted glass) / rear brake lights / had the roof rack sand blasted and powder coated . INTERIOR ....NO SMOKE / PETS / KIDS . The drivers seat has been recovered the rest of the seats are in very good condition . The carpet has very little wear and is very clean , however the carpet does have some coca cola stains from leaving cups in the dash cup holder for long periods of time and the coke soaked thru the cups and leaked on the carpet. Stainless steel exhaust / steering / suspension are all still ORIGINAL and in good working order. If you are looking for a 2 door Tahoe this one will be hard to beat. I can honestly say this Tahoe looks , rides, and drives as good as the day we drove it off the lot new in 1997. If you have any questions 423-327-9335.
