The M1123 models, like the M1097A2 and other A2 HMMWV models, along with the other A2 improvements, which made the vehicles slightly longer. The chassis, mechanical components and general performance are the same as other models of the standard Humvee M998 series. The M1123 is motorized with a V-8, 6.5L Diesel Fuel Injection engine coupled to an 4-speed automatic transmission. The M1123 Humvee uses independent suspension and portal geared hubs.
